Went to go exchange some ice fishing blades and was surprised to see they had blackpowder rifles on clearance. One that I thought might be buying to extend the hunting season was a tc impact for $187 but it has some of the stock missing? Where the logo is on the butt of the gun. Do you think its worth trying to get it cheaper? I'm new to black powder guns, they also had two wolfs for cheaper. Any help is appreciated!

First I'd see if it was the display model or if they have any more in the back.
If it's the only one, the CVA Wolfs are good little rifles. My dad just bought one this season. It's short and points good. It's light though. It'll let you know you've got ahold of something.

The t c impact was sold everywhere for 199.99 and went on sale at cabelas for 169.00,I purchased one and was not happy with the fact that the break action has play from the factory,If you hold the rifle straight up and shift the weight, youll feel the loose tolerence in the break action, the t c z5 omega is a better choice :scrutiny:

That sounds scary. Not to good of a price either. How about wolf?
