Walther hinting at new pistol for February

Interesting. I like Walther, I think their products are borderline cult-status. Build quality seems to exceed HK and Glock by a margin. Will be watching this.

Can't say I agree here with the PPQ or P99, I'd say on par, but not exceptional by margin.

Ok - It's a certificate for case of 9mm at normal prices ;)

Still think it's a tiny 10+ 9mm, maybe with the above :)

The P99 I owned was a quality gun.

Will keep an eye on it. If it’s a Hellcat competitor and the reviews are good, it might replace the Hellcat.

I’d love a double single like the P99 with the European mag catch but one would be foolish to think it’d be anything other than a striker fired gun with standard American catch.

I'm looking for a 45! My short list was fnx 45 tactical, cz 97bd, walther ppq.

Last night got hands on the cz97 and fnx.. fnx is taking the lead. Need to put hands on the ppq to see how it stacks up. By the time I actually touch one of those this mystery may be solved

Looking more at the picture, assuming he's holding the new item and was shooting it.

Holster looks like it's got an optic on it, mags look to be full size, bullet holes in he targets don't LOOK to be .45, but could be.

Optic ready version of the PPQ? (Unless they have that) Or maybe, just maybe, a 10 mm

- -that actually works this time..... (there - fixed it for you) :D

Now I'll get back to staring at my Walther P22 - the one I bought back in 2002 when they were first released....

Guess you missed the post about referencing the Glock ad.....

If I did or not - it matters little since my reference was to the "jammamatic" Walther P22 - which everyone rushed out to buy after a build up by Walther - then finding out later it was a dud.
Walther & to some degree Ruger (with the LCP) seem to be taking a page from Microsoft - that being, don't bother with our "new" product until the first service pack is released.

I really doubt whatever it is will have the European mag catch. They tried that with the PPS M1 and the american market hated it so much that when they released the PPS M2, going to a button release was pretty much the only change.

I know that. Americans are too stubborn.

It’s reallt hard to drop the magazine when you don’t wanna with the Euro release. Same with the heel types on the Maks and PPs.

Remember- The ONLY thing that matters here is shaving milliseconds off a theoretical combat reload. The higher probability of your magazine not being fully seated or exiting your weapon at an inappropriate time is not a concern, because it's not a concern in the John Wick series.

The problem with the paddle for me is that I found it to be not very conforming to varying anatomy. It tends to work well on large, combat style handguns. HK P7, HK USP are examples of well-designed, well-implemented paddle releases. But the one at Walther PK380 was no end of pain to me. The only paddle that is worse than it was Beretta Pico. Note, however, that we have members who like paddles on P22, which is the same frame as PK380. A button may have disadvantages, but it's more adaptable to hands.
