Walther p 99 as or qa?

I thinking of buying a walther p99, but im not sure to get the AS or QA. I tried the QA and its aright. i don't like how i can't feel a give point in the tigger pull like a glock. I haven't handle the AS , none of the gun shop here have one in stock, just the qa. i know how they work but i just want some more input before i ordered one. So i was wondering with the AS u can kinda feel a give point. Also i've shot a ruger p89 and i'm not a big fan of that trigger. is the AS like that trigger of is it different?

If you like the Glock trigger, and like Glocks (I'm guessing you do based on your screen-name) - why buy a Walther P99 instead of a Glock?

I'm sure somebody else here will be able to more directly answer your question rather than answer your question with a question as I've rudely done (apologies). I'm just curious.

mainly because the grip feels way better to me, an i just kinda want something alittle different. Don't get me wrong i love glocks but the eurgos on the p99 are way better to me.

The A/S is the way to go. The A/S is the preferred P99 trigger.

I have a P99/AS, "had" a P99c/AS, and have a PPS.

I bought the PPS, which has a "Glocklike" trigger/striker, and sold the P99c/AS because I thought the virtues of the P99c/AS and PPS were so close as to overlap..

In hindsight I made a bad decision in that the "AS" (anti-stress) trigger/striker of the P99c/AS was vastly superior, for MY tastes, to that on the new PPS.

I like my PPS in that it is very light, THIN, and has better (larger) three white dot sights than the bulkier P99c/AS but it is not as accurate, and has less capacity.

IF Walther sold the PPS in "AS" versions, I would definitely sell my present PPS and take a loss in order to buy a new PPS with the Anti-stress trigger.

IF you like a traditional DA/SA trigger you will love the Walther P99/AS. You get a great first round DA @ 8.8lbs, SA @4.4lbs, and long SA @ 4.4lbs.

Monitor the dedicated Walther forums and ask the same question, or run a poll, and betcha' the "AS" will be the overwhelming choice of folks who actually HAVE Walther P99 pistols.

I use my Walther P99/AS with 15+1 capacity (or 16+1 w/SW mags) for my home defense pistol.

Just personal opinion/YMMV

If it were a GLOCK trigger I sought, I think I'd stick with GLOCK. I personally like D.A./S.A. so I'd go for the A.S. trigger. J.M.O. and Y.M.M.V.

Add one more +1 to the AS configuration on the P99. I own two, a full-sized model and a compact, both with the AS trigger, and would not trade either or consider another option for the pair. This version of the P99 is just about as good as it gets.

I've heard some really great things can be done to the glock grip by glock gunsmiths. It might be worth considering especially given the added expense of the P99 with the weak dollar.

I love the P99AS, but its a question of it you like a DA/SA trigger or not.
