Mentioned in my introductory post on my Walther PDP-F that I was going to do some minor mods. I’m still waiting on the recoil spring upgrade and the Holosun SCS but the LOK Grips additions already takes it to another level.

The aluminum magwell and backstrap along with the aluminum base plates add a tick of weight over the polymer which may aid in getting back on target quicker. I wouldn’t have thought it but the aluminum back strap is much grippier than the polymer.

I may consider adding the brass LOK Grips options depending on how it goes at the range.

Tell me what you think so far. I will add additional photos once the optic arrives.

with compensater.jpg This is mine all decked out. It's not an F-series, it's an SD- Pro model compact.
I only put a comp on it yesterday morning at around 3 in the morning, I couldn't sleep so I got some gun work done.
I think you'll like your F-series Walther, I like both Walthers I have. This SD-Pro PDP and the Q5 SF Match Pro.

I haven't shot this yet with the comp on it, going to the range after the Misses and I get back from Cosco's this morning. That optic on this PDP is a Holosun SCS series direct mount and it allows you to have co-witness sights, meaning you can see your open sights through the optic.

Is this a range toy for you or are you planning on using it for self defense?

If it's a range toy you can get their dynamic trigger system for in it. It will still be a 5lb pull according to their web site.

I see you can buy one already configured with that trigger but if you look under parts for F-series pistols, parts, the flat faced trigger isn't available by itself, at least not yet.
Walther is work in progress, they are always changing up the standard models to more of a competition model and putting them out there for sale.

The flat faced trigger with a fantastic reset is a must for me now. I got addicted to the competition triggers real fast after I got my first gun with one in it.
They let you get down low on the trigger where the trigger shoe has more leverage on the sear. If I said that right.

You can change out that gold colored spring in this picture to reduce your trigger pull. I bought one from Sprinco for mine. But if your carrying it for selfdefense you probably don't want to do that.

Anyhow, your off to a good start and have fun with it.

Good looking PDP and the Q5 is great looking as well. Love steel frames or metal frames in general. PDP will very rarely be carried and only in the winter months when it is super easy to conceal. More of range fun so I may swap out the trigger bar spring down the line and also looking at Overwatch trigger kits.

Finally got my Holosun SCS today and I think it really looks great on the PDP. I really like how the sides of the optic flows into the slide serrations. Direct mount no plate required. Co-witness with the standards sights is also perfect. I may still drop an Overwatch Trigger System in it based on what I have experienced with my S&W Competitor this evening.
