Any Walther experts out there? PP automatic, .32 caliber, German made, no Nazi proofs, serial number 755xxx. I was once told it was pre-war but now I'm not sure. DOB for this gun, anyone? Thanks.

xxx doesn't help.
Is it crown N proof marked or Eagle over N proofmarked?
Is there a P in the serial number?
The 755 part of the serial number would indicate a pistol made about 1932.
Does the safety swing to a full 90 degrees in the on safe position?
Does the safety swing to just 60 degrees in the on safe position with the corresponding slide relief cut also milled for a 60 degree swing?
Is the firing pin a two piece or is the firing pin one solid rod encased by the firing pin spring?

Onmilo - thanks.

The gun has a "crown N" proof on the chamber. The serial number is six digits, no letters. The safety swings a full 90 degrees when on safe.

A 1932 issue date corresponds with what I've been told about this gun.

Lets' get really basic: look at the slide and see where Walther was located then. Zehlis-Mehlis or in Ulm?

Or does it say, Manurhin on it?

Lone Star

Lone Star, I wish I could tell you. The gun is in nice condition, except for the slide surface where the Walther banner is found. That part is nearly obliterated. I can make out the banner and Mod. PP; everything in between is gone.

It looks like the gun sat on its left side for a long time.

I know the gun isn't French from the proofmarks.
