Both are importers, except that S&W is making the PPS under license from Walther.

As Interarms is out of the Walther game, you're going to have to be a lot more specific about what pistol you're researching to get any useful info.

S&W builds the PPK, not the PPS.

The P22 and PK380 were designed by Umarex, and then had the "Walther" banner slapped on the slide, but they are not the same quality as the Walther-designed and built guns.

The three "real" Walthers currently in production, are the P99, PPQ, and PPS, and I would consider each as a high-quality pistol, similar to Sig and H&K products IMO.

Interarms and S&W are just the importers, and by law, must have their mark on the pistol being imported.

Choosing a PPK, from what I've heard quality-wise, Walther is better than Interarms is better than S&W.
