I'm looking to move away from the plastic frame pistols [currently only have a CZ P-09] and am wanting to go with a classy, all metal, blued, wood gripped, 9mm pistol, preferably double stacked. If you have something along those lines, feel free to post them here so I can have some sort of idea of what to shop for. Thanks guys!
Let's see...Browning Hi-Power, Lightweight Colt Commander, CZ P01, HK P229, and a Manurhin P1. For all metal 9mm.s these are some mighty classy guns!
For about half the price of a P7 you can still find decent standard Lugers out there, especially if they have mismatched numbers or have been refinished-
I don't have a solo pic handy, but the all-steel 9mm is the EMP4 at the bottom. The BHP doesn't count, it's a .40.
Thanks for the suggestions thus far. H&K P7 is certainly classy! Too rich for me, though. I like the design of the 1911, but not really when it is double stack....and I'd prefer double. But yet,...a nice single stack 10 rounder is an option. I'm interested in the Beretta as well, but one with thin wood grips, if that's something that's out there. I'm kinda liking the looks of the Springfield Armory SA-35, actually. Could be tops on the list at this point. I like the idea of a CZ-75 as well, but often times they need some trigger work else they're mushy [I've owned several in my years]. Maybe a Single Action model with a bit longer slide than the basic ones...and with thin wood grips.
