WASR AK47 trigger slap

Hey guys. I am going to be possibly buying a new WASR tomorrow and I am a little nervous about picking one up with trigger slap. Can I check for this without having to fire a round? If it's going to slap, will it slap by just pulling the trigger?

I suppose you could check by holding the trigger down and pulling the bolt carrier back to simulate a shot .. The trigger slap fix is EASY .. Just to let you know .. My WASR didn't have it and has been flawless ..

You can tell easily by looking at the trigger. If it says "Tapco", there will be no trigger slap.

Nalioth beat me to it. Newer WASRs come with the G2 trigger standard.

nalioth, your rifle looks suspiciously like a converted Saiga.

03Shadowbob, if you do end up with a rifle that has trigger slap it's very easy to rememdy by following the instructions in nalioths link. If you aren't comfortable cutting on your rifle, replacing the FCG with a G2 set is all of a ten minute job. Don't let the possibility of trigger slap keep you from buying a WASR. Do make sure the front sight and gas block aren't canted though. That's the more important issue on WASRs.

I've got the tapco trigger on mine, no slap
My buddy has the non-tapco trigger, it slaps

if it has issues, easy fix trade it out for a tapco and you are g2g.
