We had a little sunshine today so I took a picture.

You are a sadistic evil man who likes to torture people with beutiful rifles they cannot afford aren't you?

I like.

And I hate you---at this point, less for the rifles than for the weather (hey, it's cold here still, and there's still snow on the ground).

7.5

Oh please. You wanna talk about beautiful weather? I just spent 3 hours on the beach. It was sunny, with nice tiny little waves, and about 80 degrees.

Oh yeah, and the icing on that cake?

I was at work.

I heard the .308 ones are no good. Is there any truth to that? From what I seen they were converted by CAI which is a dirty word for me sense I'm a unsatisfied owner of a CAI Garand. And the people selling the 7.5 originals around here think they are made out of gold and won't go under 550 which is too steep for me.

Nice collection! Especially the K43!

I really want a K43 to add to my milsurp family, unfortunately every time I see one for sale the price is way out of my budget range.

Beautiful!

The weather and the rifles. Around here it just seems to want to be rainy and gloomy.

Agreed.I've had to tell MJ to quit showing off all his neat stuff SEVERAL times now, and the guy just refuses to listen and be considerate of my feelings (and how he makes me ruin my keyboards with drool). What a jerk....:neener:

Nice MAS. I check the prices and availability of them every so often hoping to see a good deal so I can pick one up. The pices have stayed pretty staedy, and you just dont see that many available. A local shop here with lots of nice milsurps had one last I was there, buy they wanted like $700 or so I think. I know it was a good $150 or so over the going rate, so....
I was cool to finally see one in person and get to handle it a bit though. I think they are just really neat for some reason, and from what I have read, are pretty well built, reliable and accurate. ammo can be a little bit of and issue as it's not all that common, but I reload, so not a big deal. Also, Im a HUGE caliber whore, and LOVE getting as many different calibers as I can (I dont know why, but its becoming a real sickness at 26 calibers now, with plans for more in the future).

how do you like it? hows the recoil? hows the accuracy and reliability? inquiring MAS droolers want to know....

Was your MAS 49/56 modified to remove the launcher so it is CA legal? That's the only thing stopping me from getting one in CA (I don't want to permanently alter it).

Heh, I work at a University and when we get a warm day like yesterday the young ladies -instantly- go to "show off mode". Even for a happily married old codger like me it makes for a pleasant lunch hour sitting outside <grin>.

Back on topic,
Nice pictures and I wouldn't have thought it but the contrast between the weathered porch wood and the rifles is nice.

I'm a jerk, I agree.

Got them all at the Cow Palace, those where the best shows twenty years ago.
