We lost HSO.

Some info on the situation
This is from the group message amongst some friends of Mike:

All, Mark and I just visited with Gwen Crenshaw and dropped off some food. She is doing pretty well considering and appreciates all the offers of comfort and support even if she hasn't been able to answer them all. She will be posting arrangements on Mike's Facebook page in the next day or so. Because so many of you have been asking, she told us they are planning to receive friends at Click Funeral Home on Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville between 3pm and 6pm on April 19th. Gwen said Mike just collapsed in the driveway by his pickup truck shortly after 3pm Saturday. Gwen and Michaela were there and despite extensive 3-person CPR including paramedic neighbors until the ambulance arrived, he could not be revived. They believe it was a brain aneurism not a heart attack. The doctor said he was gone instantly. Gwen will reach out for help when she is ready to deal with Mike's collections and she has our numbers for any help they may need in the interim.

I will keep you all posted as I receive it

Like many here, I am in shock from the news of Mike's sudden passing. He and I have shared many a phone call and PM on all sorts of topics. I was having a PM conversation with him just last week about the similarities of our jobs. My last PM to him was on Friday - now I know why he didn't reply.

Rest In Peace my friend.

Folks, I'm kind of at a loss. I asked Mike to moderate the NFW forum with me, more years ago than I want to admit, and he graciously accepted.

Mike knew a lot, and he was happy to share what he knew. He always wore this loud Hawaiian shirt at shows, to make it easy to find him. He wasn't much larger than me, a little hobbit of a man, but with an aura of sturdiness about him, flashing a huge grin.

I think the last time I saw him was at Blade in 2018 or 19. Hard to believe it's been that long. I helped man the Knife Rights booth, and we had a great time after the show closed for the night, with a bottle of good brandy and cigars, me, Mike, and @Jeff White.

Mike has left his imprint here, and he will be sorely missed.
