I was planning on hooking up with him sometime this year when I go on a road trip to visit family/friends.

He offered an open invitation to visit after my wife died and I was going to take him up on that.

He was a fellow Tick fan (if you know the comic book character), which made me laugh.

When I would occasionally screw up on the site (DARN that retired Sailor vocabulary), he wouldn't hesitate to chastise me for it.
