    Hi folks,

I need to find an allaround scope for 22LR shooting. I have narrowed it down to two and now I'm stuck!

Except for magnification, these scopes are very close in everything else - I have listed the specs below.

Both are around $200, give or take a few bucks. Both look like they have excellent warranties.

So which one will be better for informal target shooting 15yds out and further and maybe popping a rabbit or squirrel here and there?

I know the RV9 is AO focusable down to 10yds and I believe the Timberline is too, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what the Timberline will foucus down too?

So I guess, the question comes down to which scope has the better glass as far as clarity goes.

If there's more to it than that, please take me to school!

    Mick -

I can't comment on the Burris, although they have a good reputation. I have an RV-9 mounted on my CZ 452 22mag and it's outstanding. My only minor complaint is that eye relief gets pretty thin at the higher powers. But that also keeps parallax problems to a minimum.
