I went looking for a gun this past weekend (I rarely do), I want to share with what I see. My friend is looking for either a Fab-10, or a Valcan lower for an "AR", so I was tagging along. Here's what I see:
a) Keltec SU-16B around $540. Looks nice, feels much nice that SU-16A that I handled before. I think the new front-site makes a lot of differnt. I saw one in black, one in green, and one in desert tan.
I believe the gree/desert tan ones are a bit more expensive
b) Mini-14 - $620. This one also feels very nice. Again, the new front sight and the new rear-sight is very good.
c) Reminton 7616 - saw both blue version ,and 7616P. It seems like a 3/4 size of 870. It seems shorts too. The sight is similar to the Mini-14/Keltec. Blue version is $799, 7616P is $850
Interesting note, it seems there are a lot of demand for the Fab-10, and Vulcan lower. None of the shop that we visited has any in stock and they are all in backorder with many already put deposit on them.
