The only thing I bought were 12ga slugs, but there sure was alot of nice looking stuff there. There was a ruger .357 w/ 6" barrel in SS, very nice condition $350.00- a little more than I could justify in my mind for a 4th .357 (hey, some of us are po').

Funny , I didn't see anyone who looked like a neo-nazi, white supremicist, felon, straw purchaser or terrorist looking to stock up for the Iraq thing. Maybe they were all disguised- must have been, since lefties are always whining about them being the only ones to go to these things.

Didn't see any "loopholes" either- they seem to be getting harder and harder to find.

Nice day though.:D

There may be a new trend starting to take shape. I also went to a Gun Show last weekend and I was as surprised as you at the lack of Bikers, Neo Nazis, KKKers and other generally weird looking individuals. The show seemed to be attended by rather normal looking folks, some even wearing dress shirts tucked in to their pants. Didn't see any Bubbas and everyone seemed to have a full compliment of teeth.

This makes me wonder if the weirdos have just gone undercover or if all the bleeding heart liberals who constantly rave on about the above mentioned types running rampant at gun shows are full of Doo Doo.

Never mind, I already know the answer to that one.

BETTER TO REMAIN QUIET AND LOOK THE FOOL, THAN TO OPEN MOUTH AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT!!!!

Gun shows around here are pretty tame... the selection sucks, but the Neo-Nazis stay under their collective rock, for the most part.

I can remember going to a gun show with a buddy a few years back in Ohio, some tactical camo wannabe nut case was pushing the Turner Diaries along with the rest of that pap, my buddy looked real military with his short hair and ramrod bearing, the nut case thought he was a kindred soul and started the ZOG rant, my bud, who was an Israeli paratrooper on leave...well you can imagine the languge used and the yellow streak that showed up real soon on the looneys back...

Made it to a show last weekendand didn't see any Neo-Nazis types but there were planty of Bubbas. But, this is Houston.

Speaking of Bikers

Some people are slower to catch on than others.

I can't personally think of any reason to ever attend another gun show. The goody two shoes rummage sale crowd can have them.

It warms the Cockles of my heart to hear that your Israeli friend
"went-off" on the looneytunes and sent him packin'!!!!!!!!

BTW, has anybody ever seen their Cockles?:cuss:

I think the show promoters realize they're under attack, and have been doing a good job cleaning up the image presented.

This is mostly a good thing.

I think part of it may be the influence of people like us - When I go to a gun show, if I see a table selling nazi (I don't mind legitimate "collector" stuff) or klucker stuff, I'll go find the promoter, and tell 'em about it. I'll also generally give whoever is at the table a piece of my mind...

The last gunshow I went to in Phoenix (December) had one booth selling nazi flags. I didn't look close enough to see what other tripe they were selling (turner diaries, naked pictures of himmler, etc...) Only saw one nazi bonehead, which is still one too many, but it was a huge show so that's not a bad percentage. The irony of nazis at a RKBA event is completely lost on these imbeciles.

As for jerky seller, they are fine with me. Most give out free samples, so the more jerky booths thare are the more free jerky I get to graze on :)

Wildalaska- too bad your friend didn't give him a live Krav Maga demonstration :)

Maybe I'll catch y'all at the next one.:D

bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Someone had to say it even if it ain't true

Don't worry. They'll make you show photo ID at the door next, to "deter those who might be prone to criminal behavior."

Like the latest show here in Pittsburgh.

I don't do shows any more. They seem to be long on surly vendors, "aromatic" customers, and junk, junk, junk, and more junk; while being short on pretty much everything else. With the internet, Gander Mountain, several pretty good local dealers, and Wally World all within easy reach, I don't see the point of driving for miles and then paying to look at junk.

I don't do shows any more.

Most of the vendors at this show seem pretty decent, although prices are high. It's the only gunshow in town, so I go to pay my $6.00 and support the cause.

At least it aggravates liberals, and that's worth $6.00 to me.;)

THe nice thing about Gun Shows, and always worth the $5, is the hope that somewhere, just somewhere, on all of those tables, I might find it at a rediculous low price...whatever it is..
