Went to the range am dissapointed

I went to the range took my glock 26,Masterpiece arms Mac 11,and keltec p32
The Mac 11 and the keltec are brand new.
I shot 100 rounds through the Mac 11 and it shot great I had a few cases hit me in the head but for the most part it shot great and was quite accurate.
Then I put 50 rounds through my glock 26 and it went through it flawlessly like always and was very accurate.

Then I put 50 rounds of decent magtech FMJ through the Kelt tec p32 and it had 5 FTE and when I put 25 rounds of Speer hollowpoints through it jammed every round I fired was completely unreliable and I immediately left the range and I put it up for sale instead of paying $40 to ship it to the manufacture and have to wait a week with the issue may or may not be fixed. I will sell it and get most of my money back.
I am done with keltec at this point I had one before and had issues with mag release being hit from recoil of the PF9 causing mag to come out every few shots.I gave them a second chance and still I get a problem so I am done with them.

For a defense pistol the p32 is less reliable then a raven 25 and believe me I owned one before and it was 99% reliable.I will never recommend a keltec to anyone as a carry gun.

Thats strange, I have 2 p-32 and have never had a problem with the one I shoot, the other has only been fired 7 rounds cleaned and put back into the safe. I am like you, I don't think a p-32 would be my choice for edc but it would be better than nothing.
I did carry it daily for a good while years ago, I guess I have had the older one for going on 12 years and the safe queen for about 10. The oldest has had close to 700 rounds thru it and not one failure...

My P32 has over 1000 perfect rounds through it. I carry it all the time.

I fixed my P32. But it's a little gun with a little bullet, I can't expect reliability from that.

I've had better luck with my Kahr P380, as long as I use Corbon Powerball. It's hotter than WWB FMJ which fails from time to time.

Your P32 probably choked on the hollowpoints because of rimlock. My P32 has been flawless. Goes everywhere with me.

Kel-tecs are not out-of-the-box guns. They usually need some polishing and tinkering to get them reliable. I can't comment on the 32 specifically, but I've had to tweak two others. On a P3AT, I cannot use flat-nose bullets but round-nose are no problem. Could be the same on the .32.

My kel tec p11 trigger died the second time I took it out. Called kel tec and bc it was so new they paid for shipping. Have taken it out a few times since and several hundred round have been flawless.

I was upset a bit about kel tecs customer service - they lied to me twice about when the gunb would be returned and I had to borrow a pistol to take my ccw with - but thats in the past.

I would buy another product. Su16c perhaps.

I just hope your honest with any buyer about your problems.

Sorry to hear about your problems with Kel-tec's. I have 2 a PF9 and P3AT. Took both to the range right of the box, not fluff & buff, no nothing both performed flawlessly and still do.
The PF9 is my EDC weapon with Winchester Ranger 147 gr JHP. When I am not carrying the PF9 I am carrying the P3AT S&B 90 gr ball ammo.
The only mods I have done to each is some skateboard tape on the front and backstrap of the grips and pinky extenstions on the mags for a better grip on the little suckers.

No, not really. It's pretty common knowledge that KelTec can be iffy some times.

OP, send it to KT, let them fix it, and then open your mind back up a little.

You should have it repaired before you sell it. After all, if you're being honest and disclosing the problem, you'll probably lose more than $40 on the sale.

I know there's no love here for the term "break-in period." I pocket carry a Kahr .380 for dress up and a P3AT working around the acres. I put 200-250 rounds through the Kahr and about the same for the P3AT. I trust either one. Been awhile, but I remember some initial issues with both guns. I recent bought a KelTec PMR 30. First few mags had issues. Faultless since through over 1,000 rounds.

I got no offers for it so i will probably end up having to keep it rather then give it away.I am calling Keltec tomorrow to see if it needs to be sent or needs more rounds shot through it to "break it in".
Even if it does become reliable I will just leave it in the car and pocket carry only when I forget my Glock 26 which is happening less often since I carry it 90% of the time I just need a better holster for it.

Except for one case of rimlock, my P32 functioned flawlessly and was a joy to shoot with WWB 71-grain FN-FMJ rounds, the only ones I can easily get around here. However, it became less reliable when I installed Kel-Tec's rimlock spacer into the magazine, failing to eject about once in each mag load. I have since both removed the spacer and sourced a second magazine. I have also acquired some Lellior and Bellot FMJ rounds, but have not yet made it back to the range. I trust the magazine now loaded (very meticulously) with the WWB stuff, but would like to find out how well the new ammunition works.
This is not my primary piece, but I do carry it every day, in a pocket located just below and in front of my PF-9.

I had a PF9 that was initially unreliable with all ammo tried but after a little break in it was just finicky. Some ammo it would shoot reliably but not others. Regardless, i got rid of it because i believe that a modern pistol should be reliable with all SAAMI spec ammo. I disclosed its preferences to the buyer. A simple search will reveal that Kelteks are very hit or miss. Like any low end product, most will work but the rate of issues is simply way too high for me to have faith in their products for self defense use. The Ruger LCP is a far better option.

See this is part of the reason certain gunshops LOVE KT's,
they buy the LNIB from a guy like the OP, for pennies on the dollar, then sell them for gunshop prices after they run a hundred round through them and spend 5-10 minutes doing a F&B and lubing it.

if you send it in, well, the 'custom' department, most say it comes back a completely different gun after they get done slicking it up.

I had two people offer me $150.It is $20 better then what the gun store offered me, but its still too low for me to sell it.
I will call keltec tomorrow afternoon and find out if it needs to be shipped or if it need more rounds shot through it.
