Yes, a miracle for sure, but I got 1 box of Remmington .380 for about 17 bucks. I also got 2 boxes of Federal 9mm for 18.00 total, and as an impulse
purchase, a 250 pack of UMC 40 cal. for 69.00.

I found all that to be reasonable. The UMC brick was what you'd usually pay for 9mm so I was fairly happy. That will last me months as I don't shoot my Glock 22c as much as I need to (but i enjoy it when I do).

First time I made it to my wal mart when the boxes were being put out and had first dibs on all they had. Makes one realize how many hunting rifles and shotguns I don't own, but then again, I don't hunt.

What time did you get there. Probably dosen't really matter but curious.

Mine has been actaully getting ammo and keeping some on the shelves lately. They even had .45 the other day.

My 2 walmarts were good for 45 until about a month ago. I have not seen any since. I'm sure they'll get some soon. They always do.

Congrats on finding .380s at Walmart. I was at a local gunshow (Texas) this past weekend and several tables had .380 ammo for between $35 -$48 for a box of 50. One guy had handloads for $38. I told him that I hoped he would be forced to lower his prices soon, since ammo seems to be less and less scarce. He had the nerve to tell me that his profit margin is exactly the same as it was a year ago. He said it's just that the components to handload have gone sky high. Having done some pricing of the components myself, I told him he needs to find new suppliers. On the other hand, he may have been charging $28-$35 a box last year...who knows!! He then had the nerve to tell me he had a customer come all the way from Missouri to buy his ammo. What bull feces!! It was time to move on the next table!

m2steven you done good. Can't even remember the last time I saw .380 @ WalMart around here.

My last visit to WM a few days ago the only pistol ammo they had was .22 short (I bought some....sigh).

holy moley, did you catch the mythical unicorn they surely came in on sprinting out of the store?

finding ammo at Wal Mart is like spotting bigfoot.

I found some a month ago at the local sporting goods store for 12.47 a 50 rd. box.

I'm going to have to start looking again as I am down to 500 rds.
:neener:

I just scored a 250 round box of UMC 9MM for $53 at our local WM. They hade 4 or 5 boxes of the 250's and 4 or 5 boxes of the WWB 100's also in 9mm. SCORE!:)

The same 250 round box is $80 at Gander mountain.

Picked up 200 rounds of Federal 9mm at Wally World the other day for $9.50 a box.

I hate Wal Mart in general but I've always found it to be a great place to find cheap ammo.

Found some .380 at Dick's Sporting Goods after searching all over town. The people at Wal-Mart looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they had any. Ended up getting two boxes of .380 for $38 out the door.

Yes, a miracle for sure, but I got 1 box of Remmington .380 for about 17 bucks.
I'm about ready to cry....:( I'm suspecting that our Wally World is getting .380 but the clerks are getting a little kick-back by holding for the gun outlets in town...Can't prove it, but I'm suspicious....If I ever hear of something like that........:fire::cuss:

Since they have been sold out for months Im not sure what type of .380 my WM store sells but they are marked as $39 for 50 and its the only ammo they carry in that caliber. Thank God for the internet.

I just read in Guns and Ammo that .380 is a "seasonal" round, in which they only manufacture it once per year. November / December was the last time I saw .380 readily available, so I assume that season is approaching!

I've found a good bit of ammo at my local Walmart, 9mm, .380, .40, .22, .25 and .45... maybe 1000 round all total. It's slowly getting back to narmal.

I pretty much check about 6 or so WalMarts in the midlands of SC weekly. About a month ago I picked up quite a lot of 9, 40 and 45 then it dried up again. Haven't seen 380 in a year....or bulk 22.

I've also been ordering some ammo from cabelas (380 mostly) and have been lucky enough to get several hundred rounds every 4 to 6 weeks. I've never seen 380 at wal-mart before today

Speaking of the P238 - Buy one! I like them. I hear they are great pistols. I've ordered all my 380 from the internet and i've had very good luck so far keeping a few boxes always on hand. If you're patient, you can get 380. I have learned not to order from the smaller dealers unless I accidently come upon some instock - such as the PRVI ammo spotted here a few times. Got 5 boxes of that and it was nice ammo.

Interesting about the bulk 22. I can't find it either, but it's plentiful in the common 50 count box. I've found some 300 count boxes of winchester, but i'd rather have cci ammunition for 22. Their 1600 fps stuff is HOT, and shoots great.

Do you ever wonder why, in a still capitalistic country, someone doesn't jump on this 380 thing and start producing it. 380 handguns are selling like hotcakes.
