I have a huge hankering to get a 6.5x55 swede but am on the fence about which rifle. Here are the choices:

1. Tikka T3 either stainless or blued
2. Ruger M77
3. CZ american

I like the mauser type action on the ruger but what do the others have any features that may put it over the Ruger in certain regards? Any info welcome.

cz will not only be cheaper than the others, but more accurate, and more beautiful. Now if you are going in the woods with it, i would go tikka, or if you can get the cz in a composite stock, they are too purdy to scratch up. The cz's are truly straight mauser action.

I don't know about that

The CZ being more accurate than the Tikka. :scrutiny:

Definitely either the CZ or the Tikka. Ruger is well, Ruger...
I have a Tikka and it is a phenomonal shooter. Unbelievable trigger.
CZs are some of the classiest rifles out there. Awesome for the money.

The CZ is a pure mauser action. It has a single set trigger (fully adjustable), and is generally very accurate. It's only downside, if it is one. is that it is slightly heavier than the other two. I like them all, but chose CZ and would do it again.

Cooper Arms of Montana will chamber one of their Model 22's in 6.5x55mm. It's not listed but they will do it.

I love my Phoenix in 6.5x55mm. It is a one hole wonder.
