Just wondering if there are any other 9mm pistols under $500 that have a external safety (besides the Taurus 24/7)?

I see a lot of high end guns with an external safety, but not many under $500...

The Stoeger Cougar 8000 is around $350, has an external safety that doubles as de-cocker.

The Millennium PT111 has external safety. Not that I know how much it cost, but can't imagine it being over $500.

I, in no way am pushing Taurus either.

The CZ-75, PCR, and RAMI come to mind right off the bat.

Ruger P-series. All have external safeties available. All are under $500.00 regardless of caliber. I have the P89 in 9mm and the 90 and 345 in .45ACP. They are all great guns.

I agree with the above. Rugers can't be beat by price vs quality.

The S&W Value line may work for you.

New or used? New, I would recommend the CZ-75. Used opens up a whole host of possibilities.

A gently used Browning Hi-Power should come in under $500. Any S&W gen3 semi-auto should be under $500 used.

My first thought was a 92fs -- then a Ruger or Smith.

The CZ75 is hard to beat for the price, that's the route I would go.

    A new CZ-75 or a lightly used S&W 5906, 59, 659, etc. They are great shooters.
