Hey fellas - I'm sitting here loading up a bunch of stripper clips, getting ready for a range trip I'll be taking soon - and I realized, I have no good way to carry these things around.

What options do I have to cart these around with me when I hit the range? I don't have space for them in my rifle case and I don't think I have that many pockets, heh.

What did the soldiers who carried the SKS use? I can imagine some sort of bandoleer would be ideal.

I use those Chinese bandoliers. They work great.

Also a hand grenade pouch will hold 50 rounds in each pocket. I picked up some rain cammo East German ones with three pockets for dirt cheap and they hold 150 rounds on strippers.

Another option is one of those small plastic organizer tubs you get in Lowes or Home Depot. I have on of those (maybe quart sized?) that holds a couple hundred rounds.

You can get a chairman Mao range bag to go with it. ;)

Dang, why'd I click this thread. The main page said:

    Aye...

+1 to everyone else, you can find some cheap bandoleers. Gunshows usually has em'. It's between the beanie babies and beef jerky vendors.

The Mao bag is available at Sportsmans Guide and CTD. I have a couple I use to haul range supplies.

Understandable mistake..... It was just a few years ago that I found out a "stripper clip" was NOT a device for attaching dollar bills to a Gee-String......

    Boy was I embarassed........

    Best to all,

Yeah, I was thinking a big handful of $1 bills.....

I have 2 of the leather double-pouch thingys for my Mosin-Nagant stripper clips (bought from Tapco). Each pouch holds 3 clips (15 rounds), so with each double pouch I have 30 rounds on hand.

Haven't found anything yet for the SKS "strippers", though

I use a pair of 7-pocket M16 bandoleers to carry my SKS clips. They're made to carry seven 20-round M16 mags, but each pocket holds a pair of 10-round SKS clips just fine.

A thread about strippers, started by a fan of Mindless Self Indulgence? What's The High Road coming to?

J&G Sales usually has cotton bandoliers for around a buck a piece for the good ones.

What's the deaL with the pouch my Yugo SKS came with. Doesn't fit stripper clips so what's it made to hold?
