Local gun show 223 is going for 1.5 and up a round. I don't buy at these prices. I did pick up 4 boxes of 2.5 inch 7.5 shot 410 bore 25 round boxes at wally world for 7 bucks a box. Comes out to about 33 cents a shell. They had some 12 ga but it was being bough up fast.

LGS had a little 223 last week. Since I don't need any I didn't ask the price. The farm & ranch store here sells ammo or did. They just have a sign on the door now saying "no ammo".

Ammo today at Academy - 9mm was 15-18/box of 50. Limit of 2 per day which I think is helping keep the scalpers away.

Last ammo I bought was a few weeks ago at Cabela's, $8.99 for 100 CCI 22 mini mag. Bought the last 2 boxes they had. Honestly I haven't even looked since then. No point in wasting my time until things get closer to back to normal. I do buy components when I find them on the shelf however. Last week found 100 Hornady XTP 124 grain 9mm bullets, $22.99 for 100, or in other words normal price. I have the brass and powder as well so I can easily load good quality HP 9mm for less than 40 cents per round, just need some SPP.

A LGS and Scheels I went to yesterday both had 9mm CCI Blazer (Brass) FMJ for $40 for 50 rounds. At Scheels, they also had a 50 count box of Speer Gold Dot for $60.

I'm currently doing the snowbird thing down in Myrtle Beach and stopped in the local Bass Pro Shop this morning. They had 6 boxes of Sig brand 9mm 124 grn jhp for $44.95 for a box of 50.

I made my rounds looking at the local places today. I picked up 2 boxes of Blazer Brass 9mm for $14.00 a box.

GT Dist had 12ga slugs, 40 S&W, 45Gap, 7.62x39 of some sort.

Academy Sports had some 45Acp, 40S&W and 308Win. A few boxes of 12ga game loads also.

Local LGS had some 12ga and 20ga and 28ga shells. 1 box of 25acp 1 box of 32acp and a couple of other odd balls.

Walmart had 3 boxs of 12ga game loads.

Bass Pro didn't have much of any thing.

This was all way better then the last time I went out and looked. I also saw some 9mm and 223rem sell on GB for about .65 around the other day.

but the guy at the counter knows I have one and was so excited to tell me he got some in, I couldn't not buy it.

Now that was a soft touch sale right there!

Since this version of the shortage started, (and it's coming up on year one, right?) I've seen 3 boxes of .45acp, 2 boxes of .17 HMR,
and four boxes of 28 gauge.
Not looking hard, but feel I would have to if I needed to buy.

Before yesterday, I hadn't been inside our Academy since September.

Yesterday, at 3:00 PM, approx. 1,000-1,200 rds. of Monarch 7.62x39 was there. Weird: maybe the flippers are Saturated with ammo, waiting for bidders to meet their secret reserve prices?
Most of this was lacquer-coated, which often scares the gullible. Luckily their unfounded paranoia seems to have paid off.:)
Bought my 2 - box limit = 200 rds. I've used about 15% of my total reserve in the last year.

Plenty of .380 was there, but I saw zero 9x19, nor any other semi-auto handgun or rifle ammo. :scrutiny: My only hypothesis was that deliveries of 7.62x39 and .380 - to a single, specific Academy store - had been much larger than normal.
Didn't even think to look at .22LR. No idea about that, but almost zero chance that any was still there at 3:00.

Our Academy here in west OKC gets 7.62x39 very often and a whole bunch of it! I always pick up my two box limit every time I see some. $10/20 so not outrageous but still better than the gun shows around OKC.

Not bragging, but I feel blessed I have enough.
Been buying cheap and stacking deep for 4 decades.
I have limited the grand kids to 1 box of 22 per session, not to conserve but to get them to slow down and use good technique. - one granddaughter loves to mag dump rather than concentrate on technique.
This panic will pass and we can all stock up again and hopefully, in the next panic, and there will be one, we can all sit that one out.

I hope more of our members pay attention this time. For the new members, and new shooters, I’m sure this has been hell. But we did just have 3 different shootings last night that I saw on the national news. Fingers crossed it doesn’t trigger Biden to push the issue more and start another panic. Guess we’ll just have to see.

Son does the Cabela's, Bass Pro, Murdocs, Sportsman's Warehouse, Jax run regularly.
9mm-$15 per 50
38Special-$25 per 50
380 acp-$25 per 50
223-$8 per 20
22LR-$20 per 333 box

Not everything everywhere but pretty consistent. Unless ya gotta, DON'T pay the ridiculous online prices..
They had 6 boxes of Sig brand 9mm 124 grn jhp for $44.95 for a box of 50.

The one around here did too and I bought a box...they had about 20 boxes on the shelf.

I saw ammo at academy in Pensacola for the first time in months last week. A good selection of birdshot in various gauges (useless until fall, unless you're into clay pigeons) and lots of WInchester 308 FMJ ball- $22 for 20 rounds.

I sold some 8mm and 7.62 Russian to a LGS it was some kind of East European corrosive stuff I bought years ago. Got 40 cents a round for it. Don’t know what the store is selling it for. Btw....reloading supplies are also getting hard to find and expensive.

Found two boxes of PMC .308 a couple days ago at a hardware store, $20.95/box. Any higher now, and I think they can keep it. Up from $17.95/box a couple months ago.

Edit, 3/18, Got his last 2 boxes of .308 yesterday. Was 8 boxes left when I bought the 2 mentioned above. Guess I and one other guy weren't the only buyers, like the last time he had them, or the other guy was going out into the lot and returning for more.

I stopped at Cabela's and Scheels on my way home from work yesterday. At Cabela's I got a Winchester white box of 10mm 180-grain, $33.99 for 50. They also had Speer duty ammo in 9mm and 40, but I didn't get any. I'm wanting to say it was about $27 for a box of 20. At Scheels I picked up 2 boxes of 50 CCI 22LR velocitor hollow points for $8.99 each. I'll stop by again today to see if any is left.
