Recoil in my 340 M&P .357 is NOT that bad with full magnum loads... many of my friends who have shot it would disagre though. Try one before you buy. I would also HIGHLY recommend the more compact Crimson Trace laser grips.

I carry the 340pd

The light weight makes it a perfect gun to carry in a quality pocket holster. My belief is that the only way I will be able to respond to most dangerous situatioins is to have my hand on the gun before trouble starts. I speak of parking lots, or night walks with my wife. I am not fast enough to draw and insure my safety with any other carry method. The 340 will not print with dress pants. Next to a Seecamp, it is the easiest gun to carry I have ever owned. I have CT laser grips and I feel equally comfortable with .38 or .357 loads in it. My carry ammo is .38 Speer Gold Dot.
