What are your favorite large size .380s?

My Walther PPK .380 is my EDC. I wouldn't have thought my arthritic hand and wrist would be able to handle the recoil, but the low bore axis combined with a Hogue HandALL grip makes it quite shootable. I have no problem going 100-150 rounds with it, and then the .32 makes a perfect practice companion, virtually identical except for the lighter recoil and lower slide-racking effort.

Browning Black Lable 1911 380 is my favorite, IF I was ever inclined to carry a 380 it would be the one.

The biggest one I own is a Ruger Security 380. It's an easy shooter but a bit large to conceal. I'd sell my Walther PPK stainless in a heartbeat, but can't find a sucker...

In 380 ACP, I have an S&W Walther PPK, Colt 1908, Browning 1911-380, Beretta M84, and a Beretta M85.

Of the bunch, the PPK has about the snappiest recoil.

The Colt is pleasant to fire but was carried by my maternal grandfather in WWI so it does not get shot much.

The Browning is pleasant to shoot. It is much like a "modern day version" of the Colt 1908.

Even though they are blowback actions, the Beretta M84 and M85 are also pleasant to shoot, With its double stack magazine, the M84 is definitely a "large" 380 ACP pistol.

The Berettas and the PPK are DA/SA designs and are the ones I'd prefer to carry if size was not an issue.

Tanfoglio makes full size, carry and compact polymer pistols in .380 ACP caliber. The basic model is called FT-9 where 9 stands for "9 Corto" which is the Italian name to identify the .380 ACP. These same three pistols are available in .32 ACP caliber with the base name of FT-7 where the number 7 stands for 7.65 Browning, the European name for the .32ACP.
All these pistols are blowbacks.
I don't know if they are imported in the USA.

Personally I used to own these two, a Beretta 84F and a Colt Government 380 stainless. Sold both many years ago.

There is also the Walther PK380.
I don't know if someone mentioned the Browning 1911 380.
There is also something made by Taurus, maybe named PT-380, a DA/SA locked breech polymer pistol.
Then there is the Ruger Security 380.
I think Grand Power makes some K100 blowback 380 in the full and compact version.
I think Girsan and maybe some other turkish manufacturer makes a Beretta 84F clone.
Bernardelli and Tanfoglio also made some all steel blowback 380s.

I remember some non-pocket sized Taurus .380 pistols some years ago. Which Taurus seems to still offer the Brazilian market (and beyond). https://taurusarmas.com.br/pt/produtos

What is really interesting is that Taurus has partnered with CBC to create a new cartridge with a power level between 9mm and .380 ACP.

My second carry in the 1970s was a Astra Constable. It never failed.
I carried a Beretta 84 for a while. It is an excellent pistol.
Occasionally carried a Sig 232 when my back forced me into a shoulder holster. Another great carry gun.
One of my favorites is a fairly rare Daewoo DH380. All steel, reliable and a better gun than a Walther PP.

some of my .380s.

This Browning has a longer barrel and adjustable sights for "import points", IIRC.
Have this same pistol, along with an older, shorter barreled version. This last was used to murder the Archduke and the Kingfish. We do have an occasional 'murder Ferdinand' night at the Club. ;)
Finally found some flat, wooden grips to replace that obnoxious thumb-rest, also used for 'import points'
Not sure what to think of Browning's beer can adjustable sights, though there's a set on a HiPower as well.

Okay, have had a continuing conversation on the SIG forum about this. Some you already know.
-mag bodies are the same
-grip frames are interchangeable
-firing mechanisms are identical, and of course, the serial numbered "item of record"
-.380 OEM mags are available in 10-12 round capacity, achieved with a plastic spacer that is part of the floorplate.
So if 12 round size is enough to scratch your itch, you're good.
In some ways, the .380 mags should be simpler; that cartridge is cylinder section, unlike the slightly tapered 9mm.
Hope this helps.

Some nice representation and a lot of cool pictures here.

I had forgotten the wide variety of duty-sized .380 guns that got manufactured over the years...
