Well, my poll re: kydex holsters is closed. I'm moving on now to "what attributes should I look for in a cool holster?" If the gun makes a difference, this will be for my USP 9 & 45.

Open (range) carry: Slick draw, comfort. Looks good a bonus.

Conceal carry: Concealable, secure, comfort.

USP9 and 45 I assume you won't be CCW'ing these, and everyone on HKPRO seems to recommend the Blade-Techs.

Not sure if you still want the CF ones though. They looked kinda funny.

Yeah, unfortunately, the CF holsters I've seen do look "funny" Kinda like some of my son's old arts & crafts projects :p I'm gonna check out a few leather holsters before I start investing again.

At least the CDC can treat Ibola :banghead: the "Iwannacoolgun" virus is as bad as "Iwannacoolknife" & "Iwannacoolholster" strains of the disease :banghead: :neener:

I gotta cool gun. I gotta cool holster.

At least that's what I think and I don't care what youthink.

Don't worry about what's cool or looks good. Get what works for YOU

Absolutely smoke, I'm not overlooking function for looks. It's gotta work & work well plus be of better than average quality because I don't want to have a box full o leather when I'm done w/ this quest ;)

Ok 10ring.

Several thing to consider:

Get on Ebay and buy used holsters to figure out what you do/don't like. You can always resell them.

Borrow friends holsters if they have them that fit your gun.

Try inexpensive holsters (uncle Mikes, Bianchi, G&G, Galco)
When you are fairly confident of what you like, go to a caompetent saddlemaker and have him do a custom job for you. Now that is "Cool" (to me anyway)

I have a box full of leather but I like having a box full of leather. I really only use two holsters. But I have options should I decide I want to do something else.

Thats, my $.02

10-ring if you want to try a Sparks gimme a holler. I have my sharky USP45C rig, but according to someone it may fit your 9C.

Smoke,
Good answer. I must be prescient, I followed your advice several months ago.
Started buying the holsters on eBay even before I got the .45 (long waiting period here in PRK).
I have 5 or 6 now, but only one that I like. And yes, I'll just go back on eBay as a seller and get rid of the others (maybe).
Having a bunch of holsters that don't fit THIS gun right might just give me the excuse to buy the guns that WILL fit right! :p
