What Caliber Do You Carry Most Of The Time?

I have read that people chose the 45 ACP for the cartridge and the 9mm of the gun. This seems to be The Lady and my case also although I didn't intentionally set out to have more 9mm's.

There is a ever expanding variety of handgun designs in 9mm to choose from. My smallest 9mm is a Star Firestar and the largest is a Beretta 92FS with several sizes in between. My most often edc is a SIG P239 9mm. The Lady brought herself a new handgun last weekend...a S&W M&P in 9mm.

I have high quality guns in calibers smaller than 9mm and bigger than 9mm but the 9mm seems to be the caliber that as Baby Bear says "is just right."

On my person .32ACP or .38Spl. In my vehicle within reaching distance 10mm. At home depends on what room I am in, that ranges from .45 ACP to .357 Magnum.

Among autoloaders, probably 9mm. But I've transitioned to .38 Special as of late.

9mm most of the time. 380 that I can easily slip into the front pocket on a pair of shorts in the summertime

I carry 45 ACP most of the time; and 9 x 19mm some of the time. After 50 + years of working with both calibers, (or should I say 'chamberings') nothing — except, maybe, a new harder hitting Buck Rogers laser gun — is ever going to change this! :D

When the first banic came, 9MM (my only pistol caliber at that point) was completely gone where I live, .40 was available in any flavor you wanted. That was the main reason that I switched to .40 for my main pistol caliber. I have also carried 9MM and .45ACP since, still do the .45, but don't own a 9MM any more.

This! My second caliber is .40S&W because while 9mm is cheaper and there's great ammo to be had, it's also the first to be gone off the shelf.

9mm most of the time because I particularly like my g19. Perfect size to me. Big enough, but not too big. Small enough but not too small.

Like Bluecollar, my Glock 43 is one of my favs. It's not the most convenient to carry, but I like it a lot.

Mostly 45 acp, then 9 and 40 tied for second. This is subject to change at any given time. I forsee a carry friendly 357 mag revolver in the future

I wish you had included 32 in the list. I'm fine with 32, though I have others. I'm not trying to convince anyone, just adding my response.

40 hours a week, at work. .45 acp.
Off duty, split between 357 SIG and .357 Magnum.

Most often carrried is 9mm. But, that is more a function of the size and comfort of the handgun than it is a preference for the 9mm cartridge.

Since I got my XDs 45 I carry it 95% of the time. The rest of the time I carry the PF9 that it replaced.

Ironically I have a 9mm full size that I shoot the most. I shoot the XDs a few mags a month to stay comfortable with it. And the PF9 about once a month
