What cartridge are you loading the most of right now?

IF I HAD ANY PRIMERS it would be 38 special cases loaded standard and Hot...if I had any primers.
No it wasn't all bad planning on my part, retired on a pretty much "fixed income" I can't afford to "stack em deep".

 

The Specials are leading the pack for me, .38 followed by .44.

I’ve also loaded some magnums recently, 32 H&R and .41.

Other than these I’ve slowed down my reloading a lot.

The main thing I’m reloading is baby bottles. I need to get some 223, 9mm and 38spl loaded soon. I need to spend some quality time with my .270 as well and see if I can salvage the barrel by working up a new load because what I have now is worthless as a hunting gun. That needs to start with fresh brass though just to eliminate a few potential issues. I also need to load 38S&W and 32 S&W. Maybe once I get another project off the bench.

 

45 acp. I have the lee auto drum set up for 5.8 unique so easy to load most 230 bullets.

 

Mainly .41 Magnum. I have plenty of large pistol primers and I can cast my own bullets.

 

It’s been 9mm the last 2 weeks. Done for a while. I’m gonna deprime/size about 6-700 pieces today, then put em away.

Haven’t decided between.357 or .223 next but I think it’ll be .223. Tomorrow I’ll have to decide.

 

Actually just loaded 150 rounds of 6mm Mongoose with 80s and 844. It looks a lot like this:

 

9mm minor for my SBR PCC. Using my own cast and coated 124gr RN lead in zombie green. A RO at my last match said it smelled like dead zombies. I said it was equally effective on cardboard and steel!

 

Where did you get the green bullets?

 

I cast them and coated them with hitek green coating.

Currently loading calibers with large primers, 45ACP, 45 Colt and 44 Mag. I have three times as many large primers than small primers. I have lots of ammo already loaded that uses small primers. Not loading or shooting anything using a small primer. I feel it may be up to two years before we see primers on shelves on a regular basis.

 

I have run out of storage room for loaded cartridges. So taking a break to clean everything and work on my golf game. May not get back to reloading till fall.

9mm and 5.56mm. Everything is going to keeping my training ammo stocked up.

Even traded off some of my primers and powders for other calibers so I can load more.

 

308 Winchester, 6.5 Grendel, 44 magnum and 357 sig

 

Lately I've been doing .45 ACP. I've got about 2000 cases left before I'll be fully stocked (as in out of brass, not actually fully stocked. lol). Next up will be venturing into the world of 300 Blackout. I've got 1000 pieces of range brass coming in the mail that I'll be turning into 300 Blackout brass. I'm looking forward to learning some new tricks, as I've never converted brass before.

 

Nothing specific since I am just loading some test loads for evaluation. I have loaded a combination of 9mm, 357mag, 40s&w, 357sig and 45acp. Turret is currently set with 9mm dies and I am planning some additional 9mm test loads. So for now the answer is probably 9mm, but ask me again in a couple of weeks.

 

Not as strange as me.
I bought a hex reciever gun about 4 years ago. Spend days working on barrel, it was black as coal when I got it. That done glass bedded stock and pillar bedded receiver. Worked over trigger. Worst trigger I ever saw on military weapon. No wonder Russions are so strong in weight lifting.....its those triggers. Back to story.....
Obtained some factory Russian ammo just to try.
Got a set of RCBS dies, IMR4350 Powder, CCI 200 primers and some Hornady FMJ seconds I picked up when you could visit factory and gets seconds.
Just waiting for bedding to cure in stock.
Probably be ok to try now, do you think or should wait tell Summer?

223 is leading the pack for me right now. I have a new build in the works chambered in 308 that will probably elevate the 308 up to 2nd place.

I load most handgun cartridges in fairly large batches along with 223 so I may go for long periods of time between loading a pistol caliber. In-between loading pistol cartridges I try to cast enough bullets to be ready to load whichever batch comes up to be loaded again.

 

Loading ladder tests for 6.5 Grendel I just built, 2 bullet weights & 3 different powders. Then 6.5x55 and .44 magnum.

 

12 ga. Trap loads, followed by M193 clone .223.

 

38 special. I burn though less revolver ammo than semiauto ammo at the range, so it extends the timeline on my component supplies.

 

I have a several year supply of 45acp primers, powder, and bullets. Not so with SP primers. As things stand right now it might be better for me to purchase another 45acp gun to mirror my 9mm guns.

But I think I know how to get through this. I did this right before the Hillary panic.
