Doing a poll to see who shoots what! What caliber, bullet weight, and what bullet profile? Not on the list?

Right now I cast 5 calibers but only 4 are on the list. I have cast #3 9mm profiles and 3 bullet weights, #1 10mm/40 profile, #1 38/357 profile, and 2 45 caliber profiles and 2 bullet weights. I also do 300 BLK/308 and have done 3 profiles and 3 weights.

i like the 200 gr lee .430 rnfp mold or light 44 mag loads a .430 44. 240 swc for med to heavy loads. 240 to 265 jacket for hot loads for the 44. 405. .459 for 45/70. some other i cas on and off. looking at the lee mold for the 7.62x39 and the lee 220 for the 300blk out, but used in a 308 win.

240 grain 44 mag, and 10mm, 180 grain. Lots and lots of both those but also 45 cal/300, 45cal/ 230, 9mm/357/125 grain

45ACP 200 gr SWC for me for accuracy.

All other 380Auto/9mm/40S&W/45ACP bullets are mostly jacketed and plated bullets.

But missing the Keith.......blasphemy.
It even has it's own name... I cant go into a reloading store and ask for a bill or joe or george. But I can ask for some 44 Keith's and get something pretty close. Even though in all fairness most aren't all that close to the bullet Keith specified. But still, a "most popular cast bullet poll without a 240 gr 44?? That's like a week without a bear defense handgun thread. Just un American

Ditto on the 240 gr .44, my #1 in cast lead, and 300 gr is my #2. Seems there should also be a choice for 200-220 gr 10mm, and where the heck is .45 Colt (.255 gr and up)?
Again I'm sorry about the limited number of listings it would allow on the poll but I am glad you could chime in, after all that's what I am trying to figure out is what everyone is shooting.

Sorry about that. Trying to learn what people are shooting but glad you chimed in. That shows me what is missing in the poll.

Yeah, we know. I was just playing. But I'd venture to guess that 240 gr 44 bullets are at least top 3 sold. Not only because 44 special and mag is so expensive that reloading for it makes more sense than some other calibers. But also because in semi-autos many prefer jacketed. Some manufacturers even advise against lead bullets. HK and Glock because of their polygonal rifling. (Although many use them anyway)

#1 for me would be 215grn .41 SWC, then a mish-mash of .45 ACP 230grn or Colt 255grn cast boolits. I don’t load cast for anything else pistol. In reality, I load far more cast bullets for rifle... although the .41 qualifies for that, too.

The most cast bullets that I shoot are in 38 caliber and 32 caliber, both wadcutters.

Cartridges are 357 Magnum, 38 Special, 32 S&WL, 32 H&R Magnum and 327 Fed Magnum.

I do not care to shoot magnum loads these days and love the clean cut hole a wadcutter gives. I prefer to shoot cases appropriate in size as what the gun is chambered for. Just one of my idiosyncrasies.

.357 - 158gr SWC and RNFP
.44 - 240gr SWC
.45 - 200gr RNFP, 250gr RNFP and 255gr SWC

I've been trying to convert to mostly RNFP's for practice/plinking because they load quicker, as they don't have a shoulder to catch on anything.

For hunting bullets, mostly heavy WFN's.

32 wad cutter not on the list. I chose .38/357 SWC and tried to also click other for 32 SWC and it wouldn't let me. 32 SWC shoot really well out of a .327 FM in my SP101, Keith type SWCs are a variance of SWCs to me so they are included in my vote for .357 mag. I got in to big of a hurry and missed the wad cutter choice for .357mag also, I won't go back an change it.
