What color pack?

I'm going to use it for hiking and hunting. Camo or OD green might get me eyeballed by earth muffin people.

I was thinking a black or similiar colored hydration pack just for hiking and then a green or camo one for hunting.
When I say pack I mean mostly a day pack.

Whats your opinion?

green is a very natural/normal colour 4 ppl, even preenpeace use em! , no one will bat an eye lid @ it.

Black is fine. If you go to Office Depot and look at the backpacks, they have black backpacks just like half the kids at school.

My Camelbak Motherlode doesn't look any more militant than a Jansport Student pack. I special ordered the biggest school pack in their catalog (Mega Student?) during college and people thought it was an assault pack, and people think my cell phone is a gun. I think it's a result my reputation and not my gear.

Everyone has a Camelbak these days so you don't stick out too much. An Eagle Becker pack may be a different story, but out here, military surplus gear was kind of trendy for a while.

Get black and pin on a 'Kiss me, I don't Smoke' and 'Give Blood' pin and you should be fine.

There was a time I would get the LOUDEST color I could find thinking that if I ever got lost in the woods, search & rescue would spot me better if I looked like a misplaced Cal Trans worker. I think it was my lack of "tacticallity" Now, I just buy black or dark blue.
