what country to move to?

In the scenario that Obama or Hilary is elected and this country goes to hell in a handbasket, what are the best countries to move to?

I was thinking Ireland or Australia

Any input would be great

You'll be hard pressed to find a good alternative if you want to take your guns. You may as well stick around and watch the show for a while.
 
If you like your guns, don't come to Australia.

Although I love my semester here, I miss my guns.
 
I would like to move. I was thinking Iceland or New Zealand.
If I move I don't expect to take my guns.
 
I propose that you either go to Petoria, a sovereign nation in Rhode Island, OR

better idea

everybody move down here to South Florida, buy up the neighborhood I live in, we'll all live here and call it Cheesetown, and then we'll secede.
 
It is your duty and obligation to make sure that this country DOESN'T go to "hell in a handbasket". Unfortunately, being a true American can, and most likely will (depending on how far you want to take it) land you in prison or strapped to a bed receiving lethal injection. And then there is the whole idea of becoming an "extremist"...

Everywhere else is either worse(more socialist), the economy REALLY REALLY sucks, everyone's shooting at each other, or a combination.

The US is about as good as it gets if you like your freedom(speech, guns, search and seizure, self incrimination, due process, etc.) and I don't see 4 years even with Obama in the white house changing that.

Another thing to consider, in alot of other first world countries there is a 30+% income tax on top of a 15%(minimum) VAT(value added tax), which differs from a traditional sales tax in that it taxes EVERY transaction along the supply chain(and guess who ends up paying that?).
 
USA has the most gun rights for sure. The war on drugs, terrorism and save the children have managed to erode pretty much all of our other rights under the constitution.

If I were to move it would be for the personal experience not because political reasons.

Sounds great! A kitchy media would dub it "Swisscheesetown" due to the prevalent gun culture, but "ironically", there would be MANY MANY more "shootings" and far fewer shooting deaths than anywhere in the United States of America... :)
 
I will not leave and Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. can take my guns out of my dead cold hands!!
And there are plenty of people who think this way.
 
I like the idea of Cheesetown 'cept that it'd be too stinkin' hot to shoot in the summer. But the sights at the beach sure would be nice. :)

If You Cant Find An Island To Claim, Or Buy, Forget About It. All The Rest Have Some Sort Of Gun Laws. If You Find An Island To Claim. Let Us Know, You Would Soon Have Company!
But Seriously: One Thing To Remember, Our Government Was Set Up In The Beginning So That One Person Can Not Have All The Power. That Said, It Would Be Very Difficult For Obama, Or Clinton To Just Say, Give Up Your Arms America, They Are Now Illegal! They Would Have To Propose A Law, Get It Through Congress, Then The Senate, And Then Sign It Into Law. If That Ever Happened, Then There Would Be Another Civil War. Because There Are Just Way To Many Of Us To Go Quietly. I Also Find It Hard To Believe That Our Own Military Would Fire On Civilians In This Situation. As They Would Have To Shoot Members Of Their Own Families. This Scenario Would Be The Absoloute Worst Time In The History Of The United States Of America. It Would Be America's Undoing!
 
yea, I'll be the first to say it, I say we all move to the sovergin nation of Texas and use our massive numbers to have the Texas government vote to secede from the union.

Norway maybe but here is a great idea move to alaska way out in the sticks.

Wouldn't it be easier to start writing letters to your elected representitives. Expressing your concern and your intent to weigh their RKBA record heavily when you vote?
