New-to me 4" M2206 shot AWESOME! If anything its more accurate than my 6" 422. No jams, per se, but one magazine kept tripping the magazine safety interlock- probably just a tweek needed there. Both HV and SV shot and cycled great. Love this gun!

Was on the fence about selling my DW22 as the last few range sessions were disappointing, but I discovered today that it prefers SV ammo and I shoot it much better in DA- so its back in the "keeper" columm for now.
Also blew off some aged 9mm through my old LE surplus 92, which also shot great.:)

"Classic GI" version of the PTR-91.

Note that almost all other versions, usually with an "R", have factory-welded rails.

Those which are designated "K" have the (shorter) 16" barrels.
Some have both of these features.

I shot my Savage A22 and Ruger SP101 327 MAG today. Hit some 8 inch gongs with the Ruger at 35 yards. I like the olive green stocks on your AR Ignition Override.

Got some back yard plinking in today, helped my parents replace their old electric range with an induction range. The old stove top made for a great target. Very satisfying thunks.

IMG_2497 (2).JPG I shot the Model 64-8 for the first time since I removed the fingergrooves from a NOS pair of Mustang Zebrawood grips I found on ebay for under $40. I put 75 rounds of 158gr Xtreme RNFP 38spl over 6.2gr HS-6 using Winn SPP and was very comfortable without the fingergrooves forcing my middle finger into the trigger guard. This Model 64-8 LE trade is the least expensive revolver I've ever bought at $300 OTD about 4 years ago. It's got the dreaded two piece barrel and lock the purists hate but it's had very few rounds put through it and is a great shooter. Wearing the new grips she's pretty enough to take out in public.

3rd Gen G26 in a carry gun, closer distance USPSA match. Worked like a charm. 'Lots of A's! Time - well, old geezer time!
My EDC, a fine gun. Has more that 5! Yes, indeed.

Yesterday it was snowing. That wet stuff. Shot my Mossberg MC1. Had a bad time the week before. Mag extensions for two were added to the Glock 43 mags. When loaded with eight, they suck. With seven, perfection.

Sighted in a little better my Remington 700 in 6.5 Creedmore. It shot well. Then shot the Marlin in 45 Colt. One made at the Arms in Ilion. About sixty yards out and ping, ping, ping on the metal target from off hand. My friend shot it and he too did ding, ding, ding. Then we shot the Rossi. Same results. The Ghost rings work well. Everything got all soaked. It was a blast. Dried all the rifles off when I got home and placed them next to the Pellet Stove.

At the fantastic Redbrush Rifle Range my son and I had a great morning with the falling plate machine. We shot his Walther PP in .22 l.r, Glock 42, Glock 26, Glock 32, High Point C9, Ruger LCP .380. The two surprises were the Hi Point and LCP that got the plates down as well as the other guns, even if it was taking an extra effort with the trigger of the C9 and the small grip of the LCP.

The negative surprise was the Hornady Critical Defense in .380 for the LCP. Two rounds were less loud than a .22 and did not work the slide and four did not go off on the first firing pin strike, two not even after a second strike. The .357 SIG Hornady Critical Defense worked well and we immediately took it up with our family cop, who assured us that his issued critical Duty ammo in 9mm works flawlessly.

Here is a clip of the LCP:

I helped a friend sight in his rifles today 6.5 Gibbs, 270 Win and a 308 Win. The 6.5 Gibbs is on a type 38 Arisaka and the other are on Savage 110 actions. While there I picked up 2 pockets full of brass. That had some cases you just don't see everyday 3 are 300 Weatherby Mag, 19 that are 30 carbine, 4 are 25-06 and the last is 50 Beau-wolf and the normal run of the mill cases you'd expect people to sight in before rifle season.

4 revolvers - Ruger Blackhawks in 357 and 44 Mag, S&W 624 in 44 Special and S&W Model 18 22lr. I was shooting up some partial boxes of reloads and testing some different charge weights for the 44 Mag. The 22lr I used for DA practice at 15 yards.
    20221116_141303.jpg

I also shot a few clips though one of my M1 Garands and a few mags through a Glock G19X. No pic of the Glock.

It was beautiful in the desert today.

Still ammo testing with my CZ 457, it apparently likes Federal "Suppressor" 45gr/970fps ammo well enough to reliably strike empty .22lr cases lined up on a 2x4 without touching the wood, at 30 yards. Managed to recover one of the cases. Struck dead center! 20221116_153601.jpg

Nothing. I haven't shot a firearm in months. I bought an "Adventure bike" and was busy every weekend riding or modifying the new motorcycle during the summer.

Then, I was diagnosed with tennis elbow at work, and told not to ride the motorcycle or shoot any handguns until it healed. Still hasn't healed after two months. Even grasping and lifting a handgun is painful.

So, itching to get back to the range, but with temps in the 30's during the day, it is that time of year when any activity outside is a challenge.

Once the snow hits, then no shooting outdoors as brass is impossible to find.

Not if you shoot a revolver. :neener:
Just kidding around, Trey. As I've said several times, our "shooting range" is a county gravel pit a couple of miles south of the house. And the snow affects when we can go shooting there too - not because we won't be able to find our brass in the snow, but because in a few weeks, if we drove our truck down into that pit, we'd have to leave it there until next spring.

This P210-1 is one of the nicest I have seen and it shoots a little high at 25 yards but the group isn't bad for an old man on the first outing with a gun.

Fourth trip to the range with my new 1911 in .45 ACP. I was testing a new 7 round magazine, a no-brand I got off ebay for $15. It wored great. 100 rounds of FMJ with zero problems. Then I ran 20 rounds of JHP and the only problem was I had trouble chambering the first round, but once it was chambered, the rest ran perfectly. I also ran another 50 FMJ including several magazines each for the 8-round magazine that came with the gun and a 7-round Ed Brown magazine. Only had one jam the whole session. Gun now has 500 rounds through it.
