What do y'all think: RG 14s .22lr wheelgun

They're not nearly as bad as everyone will tell you...they were imported in a very anti gun environment and alot of BS that was originally created by people wanting to ban cheap guns is still repeated today, even by gun enthusiasts. Just like the people who say a Raven won't last 50 rounds, the Jennings J22 will blow off your hand, and RG products are all dangerous.

Unfortunately most of the guys saying this stuff have either no experience with RG products or have experience with the RG10 (which truly is junk) so their experience was soured by very early products. Either way the asking price of $45 is cheap enough to buy it just because you can.

The "s" designation means it is a "sport" model with a long barrel and (I believe) slightly larger grip.

I'd get one just because of the assassination attempt on Reagan, a Rohm model 14 was the gun used. All shots went off and several unfortunate bodyguards were injured, including Sarah Brady's husband, which spawned of one of the strongest, most outspoken, and most extremely obnoxious gun control groups in US history.

LOL I was out shopping for a new piece the other day & found an RG in .38 at a pawnshop. They were asking about $200 for it. I looked at the fella and told him he was outta his frikkin' mind. For an RG?????

Yeah for some reason shops think that RG pistols are now worth $200 each and they can't figure out why they sit in the case for a year before they reduce the price and sell them.

Used to run into them on the streets pretty regularly. I was almost convinced that they were sold new in a Crown Royal bag because thats how I always found them, under the seat of a POS car.

Somebody gave me one, its in my toy room, displayed on a Crown Royal bag. Older cops that come by to visit, get it. I would not shoot it, the timing is that bad. I'm pretty sure only about 75% of the bullet is going to make it from the chamber to the forcing cone on 2-3 chambers.

It was a fact on the street, if you find a gun, other than an RG or Raven, you can start looking for a burglary or, run the gun and it will likely come back stolen.

I inherited an RG in 22 short and took it to the range. 10 shots later:

Yeah it is a model 10, which really IS junk. I've got two RG23 revolvers that have at the very least, hundreds of rounds through them. My cousin has an RG23 that has had over 2k rounds through it. Are they all good? No. Are some of them alright? Yes.
