It's only 5 years away.
I suppose we will get a whole lot of commemorative issues and limited editions but will there be such a thing as a whole new gun?

A Colt 2011?
Any suggestions on what that might be?

I'll start with a $10 bet on it being a polymer 10mm.

Makes no difference - I just added a Kimber Ultra CDP II Custom Shop to my collection and I can't imagine any thing that could be done to improve upon it.

A work of art that feels perfect in my hand and makes me look better then I am (much like my wife). What could be better - a rhetorical question.

Peace and blessings,
Laib

Not necessarily an improvement on the existing format, I was thinking a total revamp.
As far from the original design as the FiveseveN or the PX4 Storm, something like that.
I guess I'm going for the next gen of 1911s... 2011s.

Probably, the Dems to ban them :barf:  :fire: :cuss:

Maybe a plastic-framed 1911? New materials and Technology with an old-style feel and legendary reliability? And linkless.

I might just wait until 2011 to buy my first 1911, just "because". Unless the Anti's start getting antsy.

Why wait? How about a Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless .380 in 2008!
You have no idea how happy that would make me.
Why do they NOT make that pistol, still?
