What do you have waiting for you in the reloading room?

Back reloading after long lapse; bought a trickler from one of the shooting buddies. Can't imagine why?
I reload .38spl, 9mm, .45, and .223. All in bulk on a Dillon or such. Plus or minus a smidgen don't really seem to matter. Old coach said of the pistol loads: " 4 grains of anything".
.223 is straight 55gn bullets, so not much need there.
Much obliged, Max

I didn't know they made one. How does it differ from a regular crimp die?
No carbide sizing ring. It's just a straight taper crimp die. I bought it to see if its "smoother" to use. The Lee carbide FCD has a bit of resistence; all my other Lee carbide FCD's are a very smooth feel/operation. I'll be finding out soon enough.

Bought a Lee FCD[ no carbide ring] for my .45 acp loads. For the price just gotta see if it works better than my Lee FCD with the carbide ring.
Presume it's this one?

I've always found this "no advantage" statement from Lee confusing (but not enough to try and figure it out). Have you ever seen a 45acp jacketed bullet w/groove? Don't think I have.

"Lee Taper Crimp Die, overcomes crimp problems caused by poor die design. Offers little or no advantage when used with 1986 or newer Lee Dies as the crimp angle is already a modified taper crimp. Jacketed bullets must have a crimp groove."

Yes, that's the one. Once it's adjusted, it work well. And smooth.

I’ve not touched my reloading bench for quite a while with summer work and chores and grandkids, but beginning mid August I’ll be back to it.

First chore is 2,000 9MM for a couple upcoming pistol classes beginning in October. Then some .223’s for AR and bolt rifle range work.

I also have some brass that needs cleaning and depriming. Low priority…

I went to the reloading room last night, setup some rifle brass outside to spray the One Shot on for resizing, and then the gunshots started. 3 groups of 3 rounds each, slow fire, but what got MY attention was the one in the second group that I heard ricochet over my head! Needless to say I finished up very quickly and got back inside. This used to be a very peaceful neighborhood.
