What do you have waiting for you in the reloading room?

I have a some 1x4,1x6(not going to be that size: it was on hand and I have a table saw and router table) 2pieces of 2’x4’ damaged ($10 out of the “rays list” bin at Menards) slatwall, 6 hinges, and a gallon of paint all waiting to turn into cabinet doors: IMG_5015.jpeg

I'm back in another holding period following 3rd back surgery. Based on previous two fusions, I expect I won't get clearance to shoot or reload again until Dec or Jan. But until then, I am getting the pieces together to make some 7.63 Mannlicher brass from new *- 32-20 brass.

This will be interesting. I can turn the rims down, and cut to length, with tools I have on hand. But
I don't have a modelling lathe. So making the extraction groove will be an education.

While I was waiting for the 32-20 to show up on shelves, I did get 7.63 Mann dies and shell holder from C&H. Also found 10 rounds of Argentinian factory ammo from the early 1940s. So I got a pattern!

OBTW, I found one load, and one load only. The 12th edition of Frank C. Barnes' Cartridges of the World had it.

I just scored a couple thousand cases each of .45 auto, .357 mag, 10mm and .44 mag, all for $50. All deprimed, but I need to verify whether they've been sized or not. I may run them through my tumbler too just to give them a nice polish (they're already pretty clean it appears).

The same seller had about 30 lbs of soft lead, and I got that as well for $10. I'll melt that down in to smaller 1 lb ingots, along with the last of my roofing lead and stick-on wheel weights.

So, I've got quite a bit of work waiting for me just in processing that brass, and melting lead into clean ingots.

Some time ago, I bought a "bargain" scale that was supposed to be accurate to 0.02gr +/- 0.02gr, that was three warranty replacements ago... The current one started acting up a couple months ago, leaving me unable to confidently reload in the height of summer. Yes I understand the mechanical ones always work, but I'll leave that debate out of it.

Say hello to my new A&D EJ-123 and home made vibratory powder trickler. A handfull of inexpensive electronic goodies and a longer feed tube and Voila'!

This AM I reloaded a ladder of three charge weights of 10 rounds each to chronograph, and it was such a pleasure without fighting a constantly drifting, unrepeatable scale, and fumbling with a trickler. I did not keep track of time, but my guess it took minimum half as long as usual.

I'm so stinkin' pleased right now it's not funny. (IE; buy once cry once) the confidence level alone made it worth it, and a huge relief of doubt off my mind.

Finally got all my brass cleaned now I have to start reloading again. I am going to start with 45 auto and 38 Super have 1000 rounds of clean empty brass waiting ,,, then move onto 38 special, 357, 40 , 44 magnum, 9mm and 45 auto/auto rimmed. Have plenty of components to get this done.

I have a mixed set of primed, sized and sorted (by condition) .45Auto cases ready for loading. These are pulled from my FIL’s stash. I’m thinking AutoComp and 230gr Speer swaged LRN. Hard to go wrong with a classic.

I’m starting with 50, 20 SPP and the rest reseat LPP, some WW and the rest what looks like CCI.

After our recent long range BPCR shoot I now have a lot of empty .40-85 Ballard and .40-65 Win. cases waiting to be reloaded. I deprimed them all yesterday, and since they're all .40 calibers I could toss them together in my wet tumbler to clean and not worry about cases getting stuck together.
After 90 minutes I dumped them out on a towel, and I'll let them dry while I'm gone deer hunting. Then probably cast up some more 400 gr. and 330 gr. bullets later, and reload them.

I have several things waiting for me. I have everything I need to start working up loads in 303 British and 8mm Mauser. I finally got the right shellholder so I can load up some 45 Auto Rim. I need to continue working up loads in 6.5 Creedmoor. The last range trip, I used up all the 38spl and 357mag I had on hand, so I need to replenish those. But mainly I just need to straighten up the shop after doing several non-reloading chores.

Got 100 Starline 243 cases prepped and primed, waiting on a buddy to come over to load them. Got 100 Norma 308 cases prepped and primed, waiting on my Grandson to come over to load them. Got an unknown number of Lapua 308 cases to prep and prime, waiting on my Son to come over to load them.

How did those loads work for you? I tried BE86 in 44 mag, and although they worked well in my revolver, they didn’t quite have enough energy to cycle a Desert Eagle.
Both a little light. I'm thinking, based on those, that 10.0 is going to get me where I want to be, numbers wise, then do some accuracy testing.
