What do you have waiting for you in the reloading room?

Still have about 1200 5.56mm cases setting there waiting to be trimmed... but wait a bit longer they must.

My brother is coming up after the 1st of December to do some shooting with me... he bought a new Ruger American in .308 earlier this year, and the only time he's shot it was right after he bought it... I took him over to Dallas to sight it in, and test drive it. I realized this morning, I don't have any worthy .308's loaded up. As far as bullets, all I have left are some of those crappy Hornady 168grn A-maxes, which my rifle doesn't like, and some 169grn SMK's... which are going to require some more testing before I start loading those again.

I'll clear the trimmer and brass off the bench tonight, and set up the RS3 single-stage to put together some ammos...

What’s waiting for me is to BUILD the new bench. Moved again. The old bench is now my wifes garden bench as it had a stall mat for a top surface. Been debating in my mind how the new one is going to go together.

I had thumb/wrist surgery on my non dominant hand and it was a royal inconvenience for awhile. Still not 100%, probably take a year.

Good luck with it.
My mother had it also, she said a year also.
That's why I want to wait til Feb, If it takes a year I won't be going back to work. I'll just call it quits at work.
This is my dominent hand, so it will be a major pain.

I did it after retiring. The first week I couldn't do anything with it, not much better for the first two months. He told me I wasn't going to
be able to squeeze anything for three months, and he was right. It took until 5/6 months before I could use the five pound pint sized
game changer with it.

That said, it's worth it. :)

I need to get off my butt and load some more midrange .44 Mag with BE-86. Six rounds of it the last time made my wrist complain some.

I will have to have it done, too much pain to put up with the rest of my life.

I still have about 600 .357mags to load. I haven't been able to make a decision on what recipe I want to use. Knowing what I have coming up for an operation, I probably should load them light for my left hand shooting.
I'm not sure how I'm going to load magazines with only one hand for a semi-auto.

One of these might help?
I’ve tried using a MagLULA one-handed and it’s not really working for me. The problem is stabilizing the magazine.

I have about 500 .357 158gr LSWC left that turned 20 this year and need to be emptied. I’m enjoying shooting them but my hands are feeling those full-throttle hunting loads.

Exactly! I couldn't hold it because of the thumb..... Sigh.
My solution was to put the base of the magazine in the vice mounted to my drill press and use the drill ram (turned off obviously) to push down and hold the MagLULA while I push the next bullet into place. Then lift the ram - lather, rinse, repeat, until I had a full day’s shooting worth of magazines loaded. It’s not really something I recommend.

I found two really pretty good loads for the RMR 120gr ZJHP “Silver Bullet” - one for 9mm and one for .38Spl, both using True Blue. I started with TB because it’s a low graphite, low residue powder and the first time around I wanted to see if there’s any zinc deposits from the jacket. Either I didn’t push them fast enough to plate or the rumors about zinc transfer are false - or maybe a little of both - because my guns all came out clean. No transfer.

So now I’m looking to move forward with a different powder: W231, W244, and Accurate No.5 seem like good options for a long term solution. The objective is a replacement for my 110gr Speer Gold Dot and 110gr Hornady XTP “walking around the block” loads. Something with enough punch for a rabid dog and enough close range accuracy for a water moccasin.

True Blue turns out to be ideal for these 950fps +/- loads. Moving on to .357 SB load testing. TB, W231,W244, HS-6, AutoComp, and No.7. Anything with too much flash is excluded by default.

well i got done the other day 150 rds of 45 ACP, still got like 600+ more to go on that

and i still need to reload maybe as much as 500 rds of 9mm.

winter is coming, so i already got things planned.

i really do not shoot as much as others, i still pretty much only take 1 box of ammo to plink..that dang shortages of the past couple of years taught me to be frugal on just blasting away

I've tried to slow down and have quite a bit, but when I have to pay $300.00 + for a range membership, I want to get my money's worth out of it. And I just love to shoot handguns so I'm not very successful at slowing down much. I can't say I ever " just blast away at a target". sounds like fun though.
I'll work at shooting less while I'm getting ready to go to the range.
It sure keeps me busy trying to find a decent price on components though.
