What doesn't interest you?

I'm not really interested in .41 mag. I'm not sure I get the point of the "in between" magnum.

I'm not really that interested in .44 special. Seems like a reasonable round, but kind of expensive for what you get if you don't reload.

I've always thought 44 Spls were cool, but I don't reload and they're not $40/box cool. I'd rather buy some 44 Mags for like $3/box more.

I’m normally not a fan of newer “in between” calibers either (like .40 S&W), but I love .41 Mag. for some reason. My dad’s Model 57 was the first centerfire magnum revolver I ever shot, so nostalgia probably has a lot to do with it.

When it comes to any beautiful looking revolver, its hard to say what i'll "never" be interested in.
As of now, not interested in ever owning a Taurus or any other low brand gun.
Not interested in a 500 Magnum until they make more guns in that caliber.

But because my involvement in the weapons and firearms hobby, everything finds a way to interest me at some point. Like I wasn't interested in ARs until I discovered the usefulness of .300 Blackout. I wasn't interested in semi-auto calibers until I finally successfully make .357 Sig reloads. I wasn't interested in Sporting/hunting rifles until I discovered how LEET the 7mm Magnum is.
Heck for the longest time I've never been interested in .22s but now I'm thinking a 8-shot Smith & Wesson .22 would be really awesome.

If you lived closer i'd say come and shoot my old taurus m66. It shoots every bit as good as any of the same era S&W's (early 80's) that i've had my hands on.

Picked up a 41 Mag, just cuz it's different.

Not interested in anything larger than 45 Colt.
Not interested in traditional rifle rounds (other than 223).
Not interested in hunting, but that's no mark on those who do.
Tried to hunt once, just couldn't convince myself that it was OK for me to shoot that deer.

God bless those who DO hunt.
Can't image the damage the animal population would do if no one hunted.

I dont like shooting .22 lr. There. I said it. It bores me. I see the utility of a good .22 repeater, and I have a couple. I haven't shot them in years.

Furthermore, I have zero use for .22 revolvers, particularly single actions. I have lusted after a Bearcat for years. Love single action revolvers, generally. Thought I would love the idea of a small caliber hiking gun. I keep asking myself...why not .22 mag? The gun can handle it. He'll, I find the .177 more interesting than .22lr.

It boils down to that when I shoot a gun, i want to feel it. I dont hunt and would rather have a Ruger MK IV over a Wrangler for shooting soda cans. If I can pack a revolver in the woods, then why bring a .22 when a .38 or greater is just as easy.

Any .22 shortages have been met with a great big "meh" from me.

After reading this ^^^ post I realized that I go many years without shooting a 22, though I have many of them. I am interested in them, I just neglect them.

But when I do come back and shoot some 22’s, I find it so refreshing and fun. I guess it kind of brings me back to a time when life was so much more simple.

I'm something of a .22 impulse buyer. If I see a cool looking one I buy it no matter who makes it. Anything from a Winchester Model 62 to a CZ Kadet Kit and ammunition? Someone told me there was a shortage once. I never noticed. Also, the Colt LE6920 shoots a kind of .22, right?

The 22 LR AR look alikes - a big platform for a little round. Just for role players. I also don't like taking a simple gun like a 10/22 and making look evil, tactical. You can mount a optic on a standard 10/22 and get an extended mag. That's enough for me.

Hi...
Not much interested in black powder firearms except maybe a Walker or Dragoon replica...which I would probably have a Howell or Krist smokeless cylinder fitted for it.
Don't really care for snub nosed revolvers...anything less than 3" barrel just doesn't do much for me.
Not the biggest fan of Tupperware guns...I have one, that's plenty
Not a fan of Glocks... Tupperware again.
Yes, I have shot them...I shoot my M&P 40 regularly and my son's Glock in 10mm, but plastic guns just don't have any style.

I don't care for synthetic stocked rifles. I have one(7mm Mag) that I hunt with but I much prefer blued steel and nice walnut stocks on my rifles.

What do I like...revolvers, particularly Uberti clones. Single action Blackhawks and Virginian Dragoons are my kryptonite.
I like double action N frames and 1911s.
I like lever action rifles. I like bolt action rifles particularly Sako L579 Foresters. I like Ithaca M37 pump action shotguns. I have a weakness for Colt Trooper .357Magnums.

I'm not interested in those Chiappa Rhinos or Korth revolvers. I'm also not interested in Heritage Rough Rider .22s. So really, no upside down barrels, unorthodox cylinder releases, no safeties on revolvers. I'm easy.

Long barrels , alloy frames , Pythons , Diamond Backs, Troops - Colt revolvers -period. Rhino's , X frame S&W's
Blonds , Bonds neither. Any revolvers not made in the USA.

I also don't like taking a simple gun like a 10/22 and making look evil, tactical.

Are you saying that tactical is evil?

I don't shoot a .22 AR because I'm role playing anything. I do it because the ergonomics are superb, it's cheap to feed and I enjoy it.

Didn't say tactical is evil. Just that when I shoot an AR platform, I shoot the real thing! I grant you that it is more expensive. I was happy dancing, when I shot a carbine match and was only three points down for the entire match! Best accuracy score of the crowd of about 50 to 60 competitors. Time not so hot, I'm an old and slow toot!

It's like the guys with full sized 9mm 1911s. I shoot a 1911 with 45 ACP as I like the boom, feel and big holes.

Just a preference. I have a nice 10/22 with an optic. Works for me.

Analogy, a 22 AR is like low fat swiss cheese compared to Extra Aged Appenzeller.

This just personal preference. I like the real thing.

Always been a big believer in .22 trainers, ever since putting 20,000rds rounds through a Ciener 1911 conversion. I was just having fun and then one day realized I had gotten really good with a 1911. Or a lot better than I was anyway.

I don't shoot a .22LR AR instead of a 5.56 (.300Blk or 6.5Grendel) but in addition to. It's cheap practice that builds highly useful muscle memory. Also more easily suppressed, which keeps me in good stead with the neighbors. I also have about 56,000rds of .22LR ammo that takes up the space of just a few thousand rounds of 5.56.

I have eight or nine 10/22's and the "tactical" is the most useful iteration of them all. It also has the highest round and body counts. I know some do it just for the looks and that is fine but mine is purpose-built for high speed, low drag.

I was once high speed and low drag, or so an Austin SWAT guy said. Now - hahaha! Although on a drill where we had to draw, turn and engage three targets recently, my blazing speed with a 1911 45 was pretty good, such that a higher up in SAPD Swat, said: That's the way it's done! Just need the motivation.

Today, Boom, get a cup of coffee, boom, scratch, boom, look around, boom, take a nap. Age, aches and pains.

I do like shooting a Buckmark in steel challenge. That's my go to gun for it. Just that in the 'tactical' match (hahaha - it ain't training, it will get you killed in da streetz), I prefer to shoot something that I might use in a real situation.

That's the point, I AM using something I might use in a real situation. The point being, using a .22 as a trainer isn't a replacement for centerfire practice, it's additional trigger time and that is always a good thing.

Same thing can be applied to anything else. I can run a single action revolver pretty fast and I got there with rimfires.

No interest in plastic guns. Love my revolvers and even some semi autos. No interest in anything 40 cal, or anything heavier than 44mag. I'm old. I like my wrists the way they are... Miks

Somehow I just never caught the bug for the "classic" single action revolvers. The only single action I have is a Ruger Old Army cap & ball.

Had a Ruger Single Six because I grew up in the 50's watching the cowboy shows, just found the ejecting and loading cumbersome enough to counter the nostalgia of the single action.

Other than that, I like quality revolvers. Pretty much all brands and types. My current handgun wish list, as a matter of fact, is all revolvers.
I've named three of my revolvers, none of my other guns, however. Thumper (Anaconda) Bambi (Python) and my 606 is Boris the Taurus. I'm weird like that
