What gun for the trunk?

In the trunk --- Slide-action shotgun. My choice as a lefty is the Mossberg 500 stainless shortie.

In the glove box --- Kel-Tec P-380. Drop it in a pocket and walk home.

I think that stainless Mossberg is really nickel plated? Their MarineCote finish?

I wish they did make an all stainless and synthetic defensive shotgun, preferably with a blackened finish on the shiny stainless steel.

I've heard that the nickel holds up well, though.

Right now I have an AR15, an FN FAL and an HK91 in my trunk. But to be honest, that is because I am on vacation down visiting family and I took them to do some shooting while I'm here. Usually, I toss my Winchester 1300 Defender 12ga in the trunk. But, on occasion I have tossed my 450 Marlin in the trunk.

I'm not really in the practice of carry a trunk gun, but I'd say a Mosin Nagant M44, or Lee Enfield jungle carbine.
