This thing is beaucoup scary, and i have plenty of small animals such as chickens, turkeys, along with the big ones up to horses? what would be the best rnd for blasting one, given the descriptions of the beast?

That might work g-f, or you may need something no less than an 105 mm solid silver stake with a cross etched on to the side fired from an M1 Abrahms.

<tongue planted firmly in cheek>

What gun for Wolverine/Logan?

Since were are once again in the throes of 'What gun for...?'

What gun would you use against Wolverine of the X-Men. The one with adamantium-laced skeleton, retractable adamantium-claws, excellent sense of smell, and mutant super-healing abilities.

I'm thinking a 500S&WMag with depleted uranium sabots, with the gun lubricated with graphite. If it was lubed with CLP, he'd smell you before you got close enough. :D

a .50bmg from about 1/2 mile away. can't cut what he can't reach

Some kind of extremely long range sniping rifle....Barret, etc.

We would run into this role playing all the time. It's a little hard to evade something that is the better part of a mile and a half away. One shot to the noggin, no muss no fuss.

If actually being anywhere near him was required, I would use a 12-gauge loaded with alternating monomolecular wire net buckshot and heat-seeking explosive slugs.

If any gun is allowed, then I pick A-10 cannon fire.

Si Senor, we have legends of the Chupacabra- 'the goat sucker'... many claim to have seen him, but I think maybe... they lie.

For it is said that to see El Chupacabra... is to see death... or a nasty rash that never quite goes away...

Borrowing from and altering from 'Day of the Jackal'...

JHP (caliber your choice) with the cavity filled with holy water.

Or maybe wood veneer stake to the carazon.

No wait that's vampires.

A "Bubblegun" with nice smelling bubblejuice.

From what I have seen and heard he is going to be extremely hard to kill so your best bet is to make nice with him and hope he enjoys the gag.

Use of anything that does not vaporize the neighborhood and him leaves you with the extremely dicey situation of him coming and looking for you.

We are about to descend into the very depths of fanboy geekdom:

Dude you can’t just kill Wolverine… his mutant powers are animal like senses AND super healing ability. If you shoot him heal just heal right up….

Sheesh… you’d *think* people would know that.

Nuke the site from orbit...it's the only way to be sure.

Oops wrong movie. Game over, man, game over!

I'd use this...

Pumpkin seeds are his Kryptonite! :D

.223 to the left eye socket.
No bone/adamantium in the way on entry and no exit wound since when it hits the back of the back of the skull it will deflect inward again. ping ping ping ping ping, brain squishie! No brain, no healing.

Or a .44 magnum to the back of the head. Sharp impacts will still cause concussions. While he's out one major sword cut to the abdomen, belly to spine. Kinda hard to heal your insides when they are outside!

Edited to add: When do I get my official Geeks Decoder Ring?

Here I go dating myself. Way back in the nether regions of time, when Kitty Pride (I think) came back in time to warn the other X-Men of what was going to come, the <big mutant killing robots> the government used to hunt down all the mutants used a big whompin' laser or flame thrower to blast Wolverine. The skeleton survived, but there was no flesh left to quick-heal.

That was "Days of futures past" saga I think. Your right, the Sentinal blasted him with an energy beam that striped the flesh from the bones. Left a shiny skeleton.

Oh damn! I think I'm handing out the Decoder Rings!!

<foot tapping> Ahem? And where's my decoder ring?

Yeah I remember that story line, 'Days of Future Past'... jeez I still have all those comics packed away.

I hope the big fat guy behind the counter wasn't lying about Mylar bags being the *only* kind that would preserve them.

What gun for a Myakka skunk ape?

Okay, here's the scenario:

You saw this crazy gorillangutan looking creature by your backyard and it is acting in a hungry and hostile manner. Which gun would you use to "off" this sucker?

Time to go get that .416 Rigby rifle!

You guys are a bunch of amateurs.

According to Marvel comics, yes the super hot flame thrower or laser may work on Wolverine, but to generate the massive power required for that. You would need something that would be so huge and unmanuerable.

Wolverines vulnerability is his throat. For some reason if you slice deep enough, his mutant powers can heal the rest of his body fast enough, but not his throat.

Then there is also kryptonite......

If that's the story arc that involved Professor X getting assasinated in the past, thereby altering the present, then I think I've got those all stashed away somewhere.

That story arc was awesome. Back in my comic book days I wasn't much of an X-Men fan, but I made a huge exception for that story line.

As for what gun to use on Wolverine?
Nothin', man, Wolverine's cool, and I'd rather hang with him than be on the receiving end.

If I had to, though, I'd pick the big orbital laser from Akira.

Wolverines throat is vulnerable? Are you sure you aren't thinking of Kurgan (i think thats his name) from the Highlander?

Whoever mentioned a .44 magnum to the skull to knock him out was on to something.

I don't think it gives away too much since it is not a pivotal plot point in X2, so I'll mention it. Wolverine is knocked out cold for a few seconds in the movie by a 9mm or .40 cal round fired from a Glock right into his forehead. Pretty cool...

I think you would need to cause major organ damage to kill Wolverine. Not being up on the comics I don't know how you'd do that other than knocking him out and basically gutting him like mentioned above. That was the best idea anyone's had on here short of a cosmic laser that doesn't exist, lol.
