For some reason this just popped into my head. What ever became of this much advertised, yet obscure pistol?

I remember ads in the gun magazines but don't think it ever made it to store shelves.

I was thinking the same thing last year when I found an old gun rag that it was advertised in. I am not a Kimber fan by any means, but I thought it would be interesting to see how it faired in the real world.

Did it ever even go into full production? Kimber had full inside front/back cover ads in all the gun mags for more than a year and I've never seen an article in a mag or anyone talking about it on the internet.

To my knowledge, and that of my dealer friend, it never hit the shelves... it was coming coming coming---------------discontinued... it never even got to the wholesalers that he uses...

Kimber must have lost their ass on that one. All that money spent on tooling and advertising just to make a few pre-production models to take pictures of. Did Kimber really manufacture it, or was it some obscure foreign pistol they imported with their roll marks?
