I had the same issue. One box delivered in 3 weeks the second 6 weeks. Both flat rate boxes shipped form the same place at the same time.

I had a 257 WSM built using the 270WSM case as the base and just had set of dies made for the rifle by RCBS. This was before Winchester announced the SSM series. According to the loading charts I'm getting about 200fps over the 257SSM according to my chronograph and bullet drop over 100 - 300 yards with 115 grain bullets. I loaded some 243WSSM rounds for a friend years ago and did not like the accuracy of what I loaded for his rifle at all. The only way they would group at all were really HOT. Sticky bolt lift and a lot of recoil. Tried a number of powders and bullet weights to no avail. How does you 257WSSM do? Curious if the extra powder is worth it.

Sized another 80 pcs of mixed .308 brass to go with the 20 I have done for "blaster loads". The plan changed when my buddy asked if he could buy the AA2520 that I was going to use for it from me, and I said sure! Now It's going to be 42.0gr AA2230 and a 150fmj. Also grabbed a qt ziploc full of mixed .223 brass I need to deprime, remove primer crimp, and wet tumble. I need to get to the range to shoot the ladders I already have loaded up!

Nothing in the room but I had to go through reno today so I was at Cabelas 20 minutes before they opened, bankrupt.

Quick trip to Sportsmans and got 1,000 SPP (M) and a lb of IMR 4381 sc.

They had about 1/2 dozen different powders (1 lb limit) including BLC 2 but I’m really good with .223 powders.

Trying to figure out a new 223 load with a 68gr Hornady Match and VARGET.
Hornady #10 tells me 22.7gr start, when looking this puts the fill level right to below the bottom of the neck and 22.9 is right at the bottom of the neck.

Even though a couple friends swear by this stuff I don't believe I'm going to like it.

Reading through my Hornady 11th edition that came today and doing some comparison to the 10th and 9th edition to see how bad it is lawyered up if any from the previous.

Loaded up some 6 Dasher for this weekend. The Fx120i is great, it reads to the nearest .002 Grs, I am accepting 32.28, 32.30, & 32.32 Grs. (Target weight of 32.30 obviously). The Precision Hardcore Gear powder funnel is slick as snot. If it were me, I'd tighten up the fit on the neck, but it is good enough in that it doesn't leak any powder. Powder simply jumps through it. I love my Wilson hand die seater, and am using my old Arbor press from my Benchrest days, I don't even know who made it. Works great though. Using Berger 105 Hybrids.

2431E185-0DA3-4F11-A520-BE9B0B8ECF49.jpeg Loaded up some MP mold cast and powder coating 9mm over 4.3 grains of Universal and some Lee mold cast and pan lubed .357mag over 12.3 grains of Accurate #9. It is always rewarding to look at bullets you just made that would have cost $50 maybe $60 to buy.

Drilled out another 16 flash holes on 38sc brass to prep them for fast draw wax bullet only use using my ryobi cordless drill. I am going to use up the 1000 small magnum pistol primers I don’t have much use for otherwise. Debating how to mark them. I am marking the moon clips too. Practicing weak hand draws and reloads with things that go bang but are less lethal and noisy than lead is the goal. I don’t chrono but I am told the small pistol primers will do 600 FPS for spp compared to 900 to 1000 for various 209 shotgun primers.

I managed to get a long brass curl dropped into my slip on shoe. Found it quickly by feel when I put them on again and stood up. Eye pro isn’t the only safety consideration I guess. I don’t wear earpro to reload either.

Loaded the 7.62x54r for the match this weekend. I tried using the Lee primer feed, but I'm going back to the bench primer. The cases are bigger with rifle cartridges, and the primer feeder takes up too much room in there.
    P1010322.JPG

Yep, that's all the room I have. After 35 years of reloading, one would think I would have plush surroundings, and a dedicated room for all my stuff.

    One would be wrong.

That bench is 29.5" wide, and that's all I get.

Swapped over the LCT to load a few 32 Long, still checking out my Taurus M76.
    P1010324.JPG

I'm using the old dip and check method to throw the charge - 2 grains of Promo is tiny. I was dumping the charge thru the charge die, but kept mistakenly dumping the charge through the crimp die, resulting in powder scattered everywhere.

Two changes fixed that: First, I put a flat magnet over the hole in the crimp die. Then, I got the bright idea to just use the powder funnel that fits in the charge die hole.
    Duh !

I have become interested enough to start picking up every pc. of brass I can find at the range I work. At this range with the benches and ejection screens anyone that is reloading their brass is never left behind. Most of the time it never touched the ground.

Finished late last night but now have 5 more 223 loads to test. 75gr with Varget and 69gr RMR with Varget,
Now it looks like this is going to have to wait until Friday to test.

What did I do? Got itchy and loaded a box of rifle ammo. These were the first metal I've loaded in 50 years, and first time entirely on my own. This was the first round and this was the first box. Load workup of 4 rounds each, increasing from min in .5 grain increments. Gonna shoot it as soon as I get a chance.

    first shot.jpg first box.jpg

Had been waiting on fresh powder, but that is still sitting on a shelf 100 miles away waiting for someone headed this way to drop it off. So to scratch that itch, I found load data for some old (at least 30 years) but unopend can IMR 4320. Old enough can has Dupont printed on it.

Only goal for now is to see if it goes off and if the gun blows up. Always fun to test the pucker factor.

UPS lady delivered 3 lbs of Siloutte yesterday afternoon.

Never used it before, nor do I know how to spell it. But looking forward to “playing” with it.

I just marked the Dasher rounds for Saturday. Blue X on case head, a black ring around the body.
(And thanks to posters, especially @TEXASJD, I have 1K CCI-450s on the way from Midway.) :)

    Like Walkalong said "pics", pictures!
    And load information.

If memory serves me correctly, this is fairly new. My son is playing around with the 6mm ARC. He forecasts a following in the future.

Pulled the 7-08 action to adjust the Timney this a.m. It's a 510 variant(nickle).... 512? Set it to the lowest recommended weight @1-1/2#'s. Came at a touch over 2#. Not a big difference but hey,I'll take it.

So threw it all back together and shot some groups. Nothing outstanding. Took 1 or 2 shots to settle it all back in. Right durn breezy.

That finished a box of 20 so,off to the loading room. Gotta say, that last batch casted up a cpl weeks ago is waaaaay better than the previous casts. This was the 3rd "outing" for this Lee 130.... it's now broke in. Just nice not having to pick through the pile. Just grab N go. Still loading the H4198.
