Busy day for me. Got 40 9mm rounds completed. 5 were Hornady xtp 90gr hp with 6.2gr CFEP @ 1.010 to test. 10 with 115gr gdhp at 5.3 [email protected] 1.125" for penetration tests vs. the 1st rounds listed. The final 25 were 5.2 CFEP Berry's 115gr plrn @ 1.100 to go with some other loaded with different brass. I uses Aguilar once fired brass and Remington 1 1/2 SPP. The HP rounds are being used in a glock 23 with a Trybe conversion barrel. The others an AR9 with a 7.5" barrel. I cleaned both the barrels for my 23 and did a service on the AR9. Put away the 200 Hornday xtp 10mm 155 gr bullets I got today at Sportsmans. Also picked up 2 boxes of blazer 40 S+W 165 grain ammo, added that to the stash. Was $25 a box for 50 rounds. Was hoping to pick up some .40 brass but The only pistol brass the got in was .357 Sig... about 2k rounds of it...No primers and only 4 lb's of random Hodgdon powders. Which has been the norm the past 3 weeks. They had longshot, but I held back this week on buying stuff I don't have an Immediate need for.... Even put a box of 250 HSM 124 grains BACK on the shelf even though $25.86 seems like a good price,But I have plenty, and the 10mm were more beneficial :).... Oof sorry for the long post. I blame the Sailor Jerry's :)

I worked on my DIY case feeder and bullet feeder designs.
I like to tinker. I get more satisfaction creating something than I do using it!
Then I cleaned my bench off a bit. After that, a friend called and ask if we could go shooting! Um, Yah!
All in all it was a good day!

Anything better than dipping out some 45 colt loads on a Saturday morning? 5 grains of clays (meters sooo bad from my powder measures, gotta dip), 250 gr rnfp in assorted brass. 20210514_141851_HDR.jpg

I was going to mention, although the metal bowl looks like it has a green leafy substance in it and my brass adjustable dipper looks like a pipe, this is not a picture of the devil's lettuce . that is all.

Primed and loaded up the 100 PCs of mixed .223 brass that I had processed with 62gr fmjs and X-Terminator. Pulled out what I have left of mixed .223 brass, looks like I'm going to be about 100pcs of brass short of finishing this last lb of X-Terminator. I'm going to have to go play a bit at the range with the AR... Oh darn! I have some .224 Valkyrie, .243, and .308 to go shoot groups with sometime soon. I thought I'd get to it by now, but turkey season hasn't been going well....

Completely prepped 500 pieces of 9mm brass and 100 pieces of 30-06 brass. Finished the weekend with a new load. 9mm 124gr Hoosier over 3.9gr of N320. 100 rounds down range, went bang, cycled the gun flawlessly, punched round holes in paper and was pretty accurate out to 25. Not a bad weekend.

Had two firsts in the loading room today. Had my first neck split,

And with the 200 loaded today, I have 1k 9mm fmj's socked away. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've had 1000 rounds of the same load (factory or reloads) at one time.

For some of the seasoned loaders here, 1k may only sound like a good start to a good start, but for me that's pretty decent.

Finished fully prepping 4X fired 6 Dasher cases, all I need to do is prime them and put them with the other fully prepped/primed 4x fired cases. That will make around 277 of them IIRC. I have 20 (IIRC) 5X fired cases with nothing done to them. I still have 10 2X fired cases I will continue testing the Berger 108 Gr BT Target with.

I pulled apart my oft-used .38/.357 Lee Pro 1000 to figure out what was binding it up. I found that the primer seating pin at station #2 was clogged with years of residue so the pin wouldn’t retract far enough to allow the shell plate to rotate. Some cleaning, a bit of lube and it’s back in operation .

Soooo, I deprimed / resized / mouth flared about 250 .38 Spl, 100 .357 cases... then reprimed the .357s with Win SPM primers. I loaded 50 with a long-nosed Brazos 150 gr coated SWC over 6.0 IMR target and 50 158 gr coated SWC from The Blue Bullets over 5.8 gr Target.

Deprimed wet tumbled and sorted my range pickups from my testing on Saturday. We have a new champion for the worst case to get packed with pins. The 22-250 took me about 5 minutes to get all the dam pins out...

Deprimed some mixed .223 brass, also pulled out 40 pcs of 45-70 brass and deprimed them. Finally got my hands on some Hornady 300gr HP's to use for a deer load. This will be my first time reloading a straight wall cartridge, and one for a tube mag (Marlin 1895 Guide Gun)

Went shooting this weekend... got flooded out before we were done, however. We were standing in 3" of water to shoot... and it just kept getting worser and worser. Reminded me of Army Basic Training in Missouri...

On a happy note, I turned over my 6.5CM AR-10 build to the guy I built it for... he's pleased as punch with it, to say the least. Whoever was on the range prior to us shot 20 rounds of 6.5CM... and left the brass lay, so... SCORE! Yea, I know... wow, 20 cases! ...but, 6.5 has been Unobtanium lately, so 20 cases is 20 cases.

Retired to the Bunker, separated the brass and tumbled it. Sized up the 6.5CM brass and prepped it, separated out the 14 cases of the bunch that will need to be trimmed, first. My trimmer is currently set for .308, so I'll wait to finish that task before changing the setting. No hurry, anyway.
