Gathered up all the 10mm and .40 S&W brass from my last few range sessions and de-primed, sized, and then tumbled the brass. About 250 cases. That's a lot of work on my good ol' single-stage Lee.

Then loaded up another batch of 10mm loads for my woods gun. Last week's loads were disappointing, with the best load doing about 2" at 25 yards, so back to the drawing board with 180 and 200 grain XTPs and WSF and Unique powder.

My goal is to find one load for target shooting, and one load for defense, for each of my guns I carry. Once I get those sorted out, then I need to start cranking out rounds for each one.

Finished up loading some 9mm I charge about 3 weeks ago. I didn't have to trickle up very many as my FA powder measure is more consistent/accurate when it's almost empty.Just trying to use up This CFEP and move on to another powder. I have a wide variety to choose from next. Probably go to sportsmans here soon to see if the truck came in. I think I need more .40 bullets. Loads were 115 gr berry's on 5.2 CFEP, Rem 1 1/2's set to 1.110 oal. I have about 200 now to go shoot.

I've been reloading for about 35 years.

In all that time I have never had a reloading 'room'.
At best, I've had a reloading space, which now is a 27" wide 'bench'.

Today I took the first (tiny) step towards a free-standing reloading room. I have started research into a 10x12 (or thereabouts) building.

I haven't yet decided if I'm going to build it myself, or order a semi-custom prebuilt portable and just finish the interior.

We'll see where this goes. It's going to be quite some time to come to fruition.

Ran the primed .308 brass that I pulled through the FL sizer to make sure neck tension is good, then loaded them up with 42.0&42.5gr IMR4166 and topped them with the pulled 150fmjs. Also sized 25 pcs Win .308 brass to keep working up with N140 and 168 SMK's, and sized 25 LC '21 .223 cases to start working with N135, which is a new powder for me. Haven't decided if I want to try it with a 75/77bthp or 62fmj first.

20210831_131501.jpg they seem to leave faster than I can cast them and that doesn't even seem possible. Another fresh batch this morning.

Had a couple of my buddies over and showed them the ropes of reloading. Helped one of them work up some ladder test loads for his new Weatherby 308. 150 gr Winchester Silver Tips over H335 and 168 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips over H335. Then we went to the local Mexican restaurant for lunch and a couple beers.

Loaded up some 6.5X52mm for my Italian Carcano carbine. Loaded up 160grn RN Hornady in the .264 diameter, also got a lead casting die from Noe's that is supposed to cast .269 bullets, and plan on doing that here shortly, as my carbine has a measured .267-.268 lands from a soft lead bullet I pushed thru the bore a while back. Looking forward to testing out those reloads soon. The last reloads I shot thru that carbine went all over the paper at 25 yards as they too, were .264 spire point, however I didn't see any evidence of the projectiles key holing.

Wet tumbled and dehydrated the brass from my last 2 range trips. While that was going I sorted the .223 brass that a buddy gave me from their "firefighters range trip". It's 80% LC '21, and the rest is a mix of Hornady, FC, and a "LC .223" headstamp I've never seen before.

Cast 700 boolits in 2 different flavors of .45 caliber using 2-cavity molds. Takes a long time that way. No idea of the weights. Helping my dad out with a bullet order. Will go back tomorrow and try to get 1000 more done for him.

Ran off a ladder load for my M18 Mauser. It is a 6.5CM and I used 130gr Sierra TGK's last year. Looking for something else and since I couldn't find many other bullets I bought 200 129gr Interlocks. Had a couple of pounds of Superformance that needs testing as well as some PMC LR Primers. I still have bullets, powder and Federal Primers for my Bergara, so I am saving that for a long range opportunity. One thing that I notice was how hard the PMC primers seat. They were so hard using a Lee Hand Primer that I put on ear and extra eye protection just in case we had an oops. Really looking forward for a good range session.

I tripped over one of those deals; a widow selling off supplies. I picked up 9 boxes of 500 each, old stock Star brand swaged Hollow Base Wadcutters. The type with the white powder 'lube'.

That's over 90 pounds of wadcutters.

I set up a dedicated turret for 38 wadcutter loads, and ran off 48 count of the classic load: 148gr HBWC with 2.7gr Bullseye.

Why 48 ? Well, shooting in a revolver, so any multiple of 6 is the number to load. I had an empty box with a max capacity of 50, so....

Now I get to play with my S&W M-10 Bill Davis PPC gun.

I spent a bucket of money...
Dillion 38/357 conversion kit for 650/750
    38/357 dies
    Lee 6 cavity 358-158-RF mold
    500 38 special cases
    1000 357 mag cases
    bunch o' 357 ammo boxes ( $1.99 sale at Brownells )
made a spreadsheet of all the 38/357 recipes from manuals I've collected...
all to go with the 686P 4" I bought for the express purpose of not having to chase and pickup the brass.
I was hoping to find some other 6 cavity molds, but pickins' is slim.... even my guy in Slovenia is out of stock on the good stuff.
Haven't shot a revolver since 1987.... so I look forward to beefing up my index finger.
Anybody got any tips on available new bullet molds for 357?

Sorted and put away the brass I tumbled yesterday, then trimmed the .223 and .308 I sized the other day.

Switched my presses around, then worked up some test loads of 44 Mag (240gr Missouri Keith over H110). Seated to the crimp groove, the OAL came out a lot shorter than what Lyman lists for their Keith style bullet. I hope it doesn’t cause any pressure issues. I guess we’ll see at the range…..

Are you pushing them fast enough to get a bc advantage over 80s. That was the huge debate when I built my range gun for 80s. How is your brass life?

Loaded a couple handfuls of .308 ammo for my friend to try in his wife's Savage Model 99. Five each Hornady 150 gr SP and Speer 150 grain Spitzer SP, both over 43 grains of Varget. Depending on which one shoots better, we'll tweak a bit and get a load dialed in for his daughter's first ever deer hunt (if he can't find a .243 he likes for her).

Primed and loaded the .308 I prepped earlier this week, continued working up on charge weights with N140/168 SMKs. This combo has shot very well from the start. 2600+fps and accurate is the goal!

For the past week and half I de-primed, tumble cleaned and belled mouthed about 1500 40 S&W cases. Before that I did about 2k 30 Carbine cases, de-primed, tumble cleaned, primed, and bell mouthed them also. I have a friend that works as a range master for the state law enforcement and gave me about 800 brass cases and about 1300 nickel cases of 40's. I have been saving .223's and 5.56 Nato's for about 10 years so I have about 3k of those to do. I am doing the straight walled cases first before any bottle necked cases, practice makes perfect. I have been buying powder, I am in the market for Primers now and I have about 10 pounds of powder for all I have to reload. Got plenty of bullets for all and I'm waiting for the weather to cool down, been in the 90's to over 100 for the last month so I only work in the mornings. I want to hit out to 100 yds. I am not reloading for accuracy but rather for spray and pray when SHTF. Built two AR's for my boys and gave them both 1k ammo. They are both around 50 years old and one is L/E. That is what I have been doing at my work station. I would include pictures but I am old school and don't have a cell phone, I like it that way.
