Trimmed and deburred the .223 and .308 I sized last night. Only had to trim 29 of the .308, but all of the .223.

After that I tried the AR Comp that came today from powder valley in my uniflow. Curiousity got the best of me after how well N135 metered. I left the uniflow set where it was, pulled the handle a few times and it was at 21.1gr. Pulled it 10 more times and started weighing charges. Out of 20 I had [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] didn't meter as well as I hoped, "cut" a lot more than N135, but still not bad for a stick powder. I noticed that if I was more "aggressive" or "fast" with the handle it seemed to be more consistent, and all of those charges were 21.1 or 21.2.

Made up another batch of test loads of 45 ACP (Missouri SoftBall 230gr over Ramshot Competition). This time I seated them deeper so they will chamber in my buddy’s 1911 as well.
Also got in about 2500 bullets.
    Missouri Bullets:
    250 Whitetail #4 165gr .311’s
    350 Slammer WFN 325gr .452’s
    500 IDP #7 140gr TCFP .401’s
    200 Crusher 400gr. RNFP .501’s
    200 #1 Buffalo 405gr RNFP .459’s

Also got 1000 Magtech 55gr FMJ from RMR.
Still have an order on the way from Acme as well.
I’ve spent the last few hours researching load data.

Was on a tear making nose sizing dies and sorta ran out of 1018(steel). Got a cpl bars of it in today so back to the lathe tomorrow.

    Changing gears,this afternoon's pic;

Had been dinking around with the '90 308 R700VS for a cpl weeks with H4198. Think I showed some pics? This was the rig I thought was faster twist... it's a 12,not a 10. Was shooting 175 Lyman's and doing pretty durn good. So started dialing in the Lee 150. This is the first 10 with 4759 and the 150's.

From a squeaky clean barrel, new powder=clean brrl for me. Anyway, dope is on the card. This was load,shoot,load,shoot.... dang the torpedoes... load, shoot. The one to the left was a puff of wind catching me out,and held the last 3 or 4 about a bullet hole into the breeze. This isn't my "heavy rest",it's the nice aluminum Protektor slingshot I bought awhile back(too lazy to drag out the big one).

Got my charge selected and seating test loaded for my 700cdl sf 30-06. Looks this year its 178 Eld-x and 56gr of Staball 6.5 for this gun and 58.4gr of Superfornance for my Howa 30-06.
Special thanks to Ajc1, Doublemag, and Agpilot for the brass. I should be set for a year or Two!
And a big thanks to Varminterror for the ELD-x! I've used one box for the seat tests and should have plenty left in the second box for this years hunting rounds.:) 20210915_203644.jpg

Primed and loaded the 100 .308 cases I prepped earlier this week with 42.0 IMR4166/150fmjs. Ran myself out of IMR 4166, and am running low on 150 fmjs now as well. I think I'm going to keep an eye out for a deal on some 155 bthps for my next "blaster" loads, maybe they'll be better than 2-3moa.

I've only run it up to VV's max with Hornady 75 bthps so far with good accuracy and good velocity. Loaded up cautiously from where I left off. It's approaching 8208XBR & AR Comp levels of velocity and accuracy, which have been pretty good! Going give it a try with 150&168gr in .308 as well.

Love those 400 grain with the wide meplat.

A lot like the 540 gr. hardcast I load for my 458 SOCOM. Pure death on Feral Hogs and will shoot through as many of them as you can get lined up.

Sorted and sized Frontier 556 brass for my 77gr SMK load. My diminutive supply of bullets exceeded my meager supply of that brass so I dipped into a supply of Federal 223 brass. Gotta trim the 556 but not the 223.

I pulled out some LC'21 .223 brass and some Hornady & Winchester .308 brass then deburred the flash holes. Gonna load up some AR Comp/77smks to see what the load is for this lot, probably run some N135/77smks as well. In the Winchester .308 brass I'm planning on N150/175smks, and was planning on N135 and either 150's or 165/168's in the Hornady brass... Going to go with 150's for this first run with @AJC1 doing some 165's!

Also lapped the receiver face then put the forward assist and dust cover on the upper for my 6mm ARC build.

Loaded up some 7mm-08 rounds to try out Varget powder in it. Using 139gr Hornady Interlocks. Mounted a new Leupold scope on the same rifle. Head to the range next week to get it sighted in and try out the new rounds!

I loaded up 400,40 S&W in brass cases with 155 grain FP. it took me 8 hrs on a single press. I spilled some powder and had to clean it up. I read somewhere that you shouldn't use a vacuum to clean it up, so what does everyone use? I am going to load 250 cases with 165 grain FP tomorrow. The weather is co-operating and starting to cool off, can't stand the heat. A Long time ago I loved the heat but my older years I don't like the heat.

That sounds like fun and a service to ecology.

Those jacked 400 with gentle meplat expand nicely. Bought them from midway, they are Woodleigh.

Helped my dad again with his bullet orders. The .45 mold was a pain, while the short .50 mold dropped perfect bullets nearly every time. Took me two hours to do 300 rounds. Usually can do 400 bullets in two hours, using 2-bullet molds.
