Hahahaha! He says he only had two small boxes left but we all know that's just a cover story for the roof rack having a pallet of primers on it! ;)
JK, if a guy at a gun show was selling a pallet of primers every sleeve would have been gone by 10am lol.

Not much in my reloading room. Company for supper(parents) so I’m grilling venison tenderloin… I did put my Lee universal decapper on the bench

It was a very cool morning 58, so I fired up the pot and cast 10lbs of the 358-154-swc from noe. Pondering if I should test Silhouette in 38 or open a can of universal which I've never loaded.

If it helps you decide, millions of .38Spl rounds have been loaded with Universal. Silhouette is less known for its use in that cartridge. Even as it is formerly known: WAP.

Well there is 16 pounds at my parents so having it logged for replication for junior would be the reason. I only have 2 lbs of universal and unless I'm blown away by its performance, it's less than likely I'll get more. I'm turning my load manual into a cook book for junior so he has what I wish was passed to me. I have way more data on 357 because that's what I like to shoot. I have a few loads in 38 and I just load every one the same until I run out of powder. I had 2 pounds of tightgroup and I'm down to half a pound left. I didn't find "the load" for tg at 3.8 until someone here mentioned it. I loaded thousands at 3.0.

Btw, the venison tenderloin (been marinating since Friday evening) with the sweet onion, few slips of green pepper, and Bella mushrooms was delicious…

I’ve been down with a touch of COVID these last several days. Felt BAD the first couple days. Now, I feel good, just have some phlegm and sneezing.

I’ve spent some quality time in the basement reloading.
    • 200 rounds of 38
    • 100 rounds of 45 ACP
    • 50 rounds of 44 Magnum
    • 50 rounds of 44 Special in Magnum cases
It may not sound like a lot, but I load with a Lee Reloader press; single stage all the way!

Sorted out the brass I tumbled yesterday. Then pulled out some FC .224 Valkyrie brass for trying N140 with, and enough RP .243 cases to finish off my 90gr hot cors with.

That sounds amazing! We're almost out of venison. Good thing bow season starts Saturday!

After my bi-weekly trip to the "Strange Range" this morning,
I just now finished popping the spent primers out of about 300 rounds of spent brass.
    380, 9mm .223 and 7.62 X 39.

Ran into my first stepped 9mm brass.
That only took about ten years......... as that is about how long I have been into re-loading ammunition.

    Yup!
and I trust none of it.
Disassembled, save projectiles and brass, but not primers.
Got a 1 pound labeled jar of mixed powder that is nearly full for throwing on the New Year's Eve bonfire.

I'm in the same boat. Bummed I have fire department training both days of the next two weekends, but it's a long season.

Got 180+ discovered rounds so far this year that I haven't gotten around to stripping down. Gets to be tedious with an impact puller. The powder is such good fertilizer, and my two lead casting buddies get the projos.

I don't trust them either and do the same thing. The bullets go into the next smelt when I melt my years accumulation of scrap lead and the powder goes into a jar marked scrap powder that goes to Deer Camp for the annual light show around the yard fire. I even do 22 rimfire. I don't want any of the grit that sticks to the outside lubricated bullets going down my barrel.

I put a load of nickel 38 and 357 in my dry tumblers last night and emptied them out this morning and sorted them. I also had a handful of obsolete rim fire cartridges that I got at last weekends gun show that are heavily tarnished that I'll tumble next.

Loaded two more 5-shot test groups for the 10mm using the Cutting Edge 190 gr. solid copper projectiles (trying to get the FPS over 1,100) and a ladder test group for the 308 AR-10. Headed out to the range and got all the test loads through the chrono. Now I know what I need to load both the 10mm and 308 to.

Seating gas checks with a NOE push-through sizer. Size to .313" and seat the check at the same time. I spray these with Lee lube mixed in 99% Isopropyl Alky prior to pushing through the sizer. Shake before spraying.

I'll lube (NRA 50/50) as the next step.

These are NOE C312-208-RN, which is Als' version of the Lyman 312299. Cast with my homemade Lyman #2 alloy, they are throwing at .314"+. With CWW, the mould throws at ~.313".

Went to the range Sunday to shoot 3 new AR builds. 6mm ARC, 224 Valkyrie, and 6.8 Rem SPC. As I was able to obtain new and fired 224 Valkyrie brass, as well as new Nosler 6.5 Grendel brass, I was able to make up some loads for the Valkyrie and the 6mm ARC (6.5 Grendel brass converts flawlessly). There was absolutely no availability of 6.8 Rem SPC brass. We also had factory ammo from Federal (224V), Hornady (6mmARC), Remington (6.8), and Sellior & Bellot (6.8).
Today I finished resizing the 6.8 Rem SPC brass...which will allow me to take handloaded ammo for all three ARs to the next range trip. Sadly, the majority of the fired Remington cases as well as all of my remaining 6.8 Rem SPC factory ammo is Large Rifle Primer...so I can no longer say that I am well stocked in all loading components as I've never fired any case that used LRP. Fortunately, the S&B cases use Small Rifle...so I'm good to go with about 20 rounds. I'll know more after I've sorted through the resized cases. There may have been 2 boxes of the S&B...40 cases would be a nice start since Starline won't make any for some time. I'd probably score some LRP before I could score new 6.8 Rem SPC brass.
If there are any generous souls out there with an overabundance of small rifle 6.8 REM SPC, hit me up in chat.

Interesting… I shoot nothing that uses small rifle primers. Except 308 can be either, nothing I’ve shot…

Sized and trimmed the .243 and .224 Valkyrie cases I pulled out the other night. Realized that I have a whole 1 gallon Ziploc bag of Winchester .308 brass that I need to anneal before loading up my .308 pig load.

@markr6754 watch the primer pockets on those FC .224 Valkyrie cases, even with lighter loads they're usually blown out after 2 or 3 firings for me!
