Me too. Hoping the Dillon throws the powder charge consistently enough for my OCD. I like BL-C(2) so it should meter well.

I swaged close to 300 5.56 cases and then primed said brass this evening. Worked great and I didn't crush a single primer. Now when I said went in like butter, I meant easier than trying to put primers in crimped cases, they still had slight resistance.

Was able to snag some 2400 and Unique a couple months ago. Hard to locate now.

I had some time last week and loaded up a couple hundred 9MM rounds for the range bag. 124 RMR FN and 4.0 N320. Really like this load.

That's what I run for my plinker load for 124s. 3.9/4.0, depending on the primer. Super nice load.

Correction there is NO boat load of metric brass in 5.56 or 7.62 Military or otherwise . It's SAAMI Std.

So far, I haven't developed the light touch Hornady says I'm supposed to have to use the bullet comparitor. But I'll be dismounting the barrel for a Cerrocastof the chamber

This is why order of operations matters.


For the Luger -> Makarov conversion, start with unsized, fired 9mm brass. Clean, deprime, then run through the Makarov expansion die, trim, then resize in the Makarov sizing die. Guess what I got out of order…

Yup, I started with sized brass.
It still plunks and passes a finished cartridge gauge but, it doesn’t look right.

30-30 sizing & trimmed. Soaking some 30.06 in Iosso Cleaner. Actually the rinse bucket lol. Not as efficient, time wise...however gets the job done. This is some brass I bought. Was kinda dirty n had rust inside. Needs a good cleaning

I just got in another Frankford Arsenal Hand Deprimer tool.
I'll pick another one up in a couple of weeks.
They have three different size plastic incerts for holding the cases while depriming.
I'll have three depriming tools all set up for the different size incerts. I won't have to switch them around. Just grab the right o e and knock the primers out.



When I get my reloading shed done I have four Progressive presses. Once they are set up for a certain caliber they will stay set up. No swaparoo between calibers. If I want to do another caliber on a progressive press I will buy another progressive press for that caliber.

I’ll have to send you the plan I have for a brass stretcher. It can be retrofitted to work on wood, shingles, steel roofing, copper pipe Vinyl siding, you name it… haha I’d be a millionaire if true…

When I was hauling fuel... there were a few times I needed a tank stretcher to get all the drop into the ground. I never had it with me when I needed it, however.

Finally got my bullets from Missouri Bullet Company after a month of waiting. I’m trying 185 grain .45 ACP bullets with N-310 powder. This is a new weight and powder for me, have always gone with 200 grain bullets and Bullseye powder.

You could probably use a roller arbor but it would be really thin once you get to full length.
