What have you done in the reloading room today

Wow, just returned home from a trip and found that this thread is open again! Thanks Walkalong!!!

Just returned from our annual Prairie Dog trip so today was clean-up/housekeeping day. Cleaned up my range/shooting bag and reorganized it. Cleaned the 2 rifles that I shot and deprimed the empty brass that I brought home.

My 222 brass that was on backorder from Starline Brass arrived yesterday so I opened the box to look at it then resealed it and moved to to the components storage room.

I was 12/13 when the Stones invaded along with the others
Mick Jagger turns 80 this month, according to my new AARP magazine.

And yes, @BushMaster-15, I am optically challenged, so the lighted magnifier my wife gave me for Christmas last year is a godsend for lots of things in the reloading room. Count your blessings if you don't need such aids.

Indeed. I went from 20/18 vision my whole life to distance glasses at 40 and now readers at 55.

And yes, it is affecting my shooting.

There are some parts about aging that are no fun at all. :(

Stay safe.

Out of curiosity do you recall what New .222 cost you ? . I probably should invest in some additional NEW brass for My Remington 722 .

It's a super shooter and a keeper .

I headed down to start in on my big tub of 9mm. And had to mop up water on the floor instead. Stupid downspout got kicked off outside…. So I got the 10mm and 40 all put in baggies and got maybe 100 9s decapped…

As we've been having fairly severe Thunderstorms , and errant downspout around here is a recipe for disaster .

Tuesday we got 1.37" of rain in 17 min. And I had just finished up drilling #26 4 ft. 12" Dia. post holes :(

Took those .357 cases I prepped a few days ago and added a couple healthy pinches of powder and a piece of lead to each one, then squoze the end a bit.

After that I took the .303 British brass that @dh1633pm so generously gave me and ran them through my .30-40 Krag sizing die. He sent me some bullets to go with them so hopefully I'll get them loaded up in the next week or so and shoot them to see how they fly.

Nice looking rifle! Nice groups too!
Starline had them for $101 for 250, $179.50 for 500 or $335 for 1000. They recently went from out of stock and no back order to back order ok. I got mine in less that a week. I passed on some Lapua a month ago for $74.53 for 100 because I wanted 500 and they didn't have that many.

Bottom photo caused by a Glock FP.
My guesses only. :)
Hot loads in a glock are very decernable due to the square primer crater. Never seen anything else like them. People with off center firing pins was always weird, some off by a lot. Probably made for that junky brass with the off center flash holes :)

Mick doesn't turn 80 till the 26th of July. Me also.

I reloaded the primed 223 brass I had waiting on the reloading bench rebuild, but I ran out of 100 round cases, so I have 700 in the cases I had and a couple hundred in a bin waiting on cases that are on order. I ordered 6 Berrys bullet ammo cases from Sportsman Warehouse and get this, they had 1 in stock at store, 3 being shipped to store from someplace and the other 2 yet to ship from another place I believe their warehouse some where. I live about 30 minutes away so I don't really want to drive there twice, but i wanted to get some small pistol primers when I went, they have a 2 box of 100 limit per day.

If I was needing SPP more then I would make the drive twice, but I really can't justify two trips in a truck averaging 15 mpg. So I am hoping the other cases arrive before a few days, But I am still wondering how they can make any money selling ammo boxes below normal retail and ship them from 2 different places and then make any money, guess that is why I am not in the retail business LOL.

No one's in the Optically challenged boat alone ,being in my mid 70's I'm not seeing that gnat on the 100 yd. fence post .
Truth be told I'm not seeing rear sight to front sight ,without My shooting glasses . Just about the time the print comes into focus ,I run out of arm .
Distance is OK but nowhere near 20/10 when I was in MY prime :( Shooting prescription are transitional bottom plane close 0-44" with top plane being enhanced for distance . Without the bottom portion I'd be in sorry shape ,top I really don't see pun intended , any advantage .

Ran ALL My test parameters today and sent off Data as per requested . My return reply ,do you eat or sleep ?.

Perhaps I wasn't supposed to do all of it at once ?. However it was a beautiful day upper 70's light variable winds and figured why not :)

Now working on some .338 LM after dumping #5 down range as the Lab Radar was showing 2922 ,2914 ,2926 ,2919 and 2923 respectively

VV 565 250 Scenar at 90.5 gr. Fyi : I don't think they're supposed to run quite that fast and I double checked weight , against My beam scale and electronic any variation was in 0.02 gr. ,so something else going on .

Tomorrow MOWING and then shooting ,everyone enjoy the weekend :D

I went to the gun store in Micanopy during lunch break to pick up a check for some guns I sold on consignment. Lo and behold but what do I see? A glass display case FULL OF PRIMERS!! All small and mostly CCI or Federal but they have every variety of smalls. They don’t sell online or ship hazmat so I figured I’d let y’all know here. No sense putting it in the components thread. :(
Besides, the world is my reloading room:D
