What have you done in the reloading room today

Took my .45ACP test loads to the range, today... these are the ones I made on the LNL, using WSF... fired out of my trusty 4" Kimber ProEclipse II. I'm pretty happy with the results. I had some other odds n ends, and they all shot well, but some more than others. As always, the 200grn SWC's over WST shot... one ragged hole. What a great load.

I loaded a mystery 230grn FMJ bullet... I'm guessing a Remington or maybe Magtech, based on the golden color... over both 6.1grn and 6.3grn WSF. The 6.3grn load showed the best accuracy, but without a chronograph, I don't really know what they are doing. I need a Garmin Xero...

Came home, sorted out the brass (I shot some more 9mm through the SA-35... ) and have the .45 stewing in Walnut. Went back upstairs after dinner and loaded 50 more at 6.2grn... in about 15 minutes, start to finish. I have to admit, I can get used to the LNL. I did notice it sheds powder, however. WSF is pretty fine, and I'm guessing it's working it's way around the drop bushing or something.

After trimming/chamfering/deburring/tumbling/brushing necks on some Dasher cases, I expanded them all and then primed them.
That's 107 more to put with the 87 I had already done. I'll drop powder and seat bullets tomorrow, still not sure if we're shooting Saturday.

Not a reloading room, its a laboratory!!! Love your photos Walks, 'cept for the toes in the second picture

Shot my tac test loads with 165 speer bullets. 42.2-43.1 each charge had better ignition till I hit the top charge and my group started to open up. 42.8 at 2.800" had an SD of 9 for my five test loads. Pretty satisfied with the results but I'll need to retest in the swamp where I can hang paper, because two rivers range does not give group size just distance from the bull....
Came home, deprimed and cleaned the lot.... the 40 pieces of Norma was fully processed and sits loaded in the safe.... great day...

Opened up the Starline brass order that arrived last night and pulled out 100 cases and started prepping them. Stopped for another cup of coffee and will get back to it in a bit.

On a side note: I enjoy seeing you guys bench pictures! :) Next time the Grandkids are here I gotta get one of them to show me how to post pictures!

Not in the reloading room (I don’t use one) but for reloading. Powder Valley still has BE86 for a decent price and FreeHaz so I ordered 3lbs. The FSFB24 code won’t work with this offer unless you are a first time buyer, unfortunately.

Maybe someday I’ll get the time to burn some of the stuff I’ve been stocking up on for the last few decades.

This guy helped me post his picture.

So I caved and purchased the swag kit for my LNL AP. I cleaned the dies for it, then I put that, a few more ammo boxes, and my RCBS headed decap pins away after walking through the door from work. Replaced the decap pin I broke in my RCBS lube die so it is highly likely I will get through the last of the military crimped FC brass tonight as far as prep work after getting the swag kit adjusted. Then I have two 50cal ammo cans worth of LC brass to start on in the near future.

Just received my first RMR 9mm FMJ bullets. Hope to load & shoot some this coming week.

I've got 3000 of those under the bench meself. Fixing to start on those this weekend. I have to set a new set of dies up just for the LNL, and work on a load using WSF.

Pulled the 9mm out of the tumbler, sorted it, and put it away.

ETA: I shot the last of my TiteGroup handloads Thursday... so I've emptied all my 9mm reloading brass, and I'm finally done with that awful TiteGroup.

You will like it. It makes quick work of swagging the primer pockets. You do need to sort brass by mfg to get the best results.

Charged and then seated bullets in 109 Dasher cases. Forgot to take a pick of the arbor press in action with the Wilson hand die.

What powder measure & trickler is that? Does it work well? I have been trickling charges since 1972 but I am getting tired of it, especially when loading match ammo that takes a lot more rounds.

First I loaded up some more 270Win test loads, to verify the ladder I shot last week. 3ea at 58.0, 58.5 and 59.0grs of H4831SC and Barnes 130gr TTSX. Then since I only have 13 of those bullets left and I have an elk hunt coming up, I was happy to get an order from Midsouth with a couple boxes more. But then I discovered that I ordered TSX instead of TTSX bullets - duh. Most online retailers are sold out of TTSX in this size, but Midway has some, so I ordered a couple more boxes to TTSX that should be here in a week. Whew....now, what to do with two boxes of TSX bullets.

I only expect to use one or two cartridges on a hunt, but I like to have a box of shells in case I get a crack at a coyote or something.
