What have you done in the reloading room today

Just got home from 4 days and nights at Deer Camp. Stopped on the way through town and met my old running buddy and another Bud at our favorite Brewery for lunch.

All I have done was take the gallon ZipLoc bag of brass that my Sis-in-Law picked up at the club range and the cup of range brass that my running bud gave me and dumped them on the loading bench. Tomorrow is another day!!!

That's so purdy I don't know if I'd have the heart to shoot it.

Good morning, gentlemen. It is raining and cooler this morning, so it will be a good day to finish straightening my reloading bench in prep for a season of reloading starting this Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

I am going to finally open the box to the Hornady Vibratory Trickler that I got (new) from eBay last fall. I have never wanted a vibe trickler, and I never had one on my radar. But I happened to see this one for a crazy low price and decided to try it. The worst that will happen is that I don't like it or don't find it useful (along side my collection of 3 or 4 regular powder tricklery). If that's the case, I'll box it back up and put it on the shelf to look pretty. Hopefully, I'll find it useful.

So I'll be experimenting with this today while streaming a Canadian radio station, CKUA from Edmondon, Alberta. A Canadian friend of mine who lives in Edmonton turned me on to this station 10 or so years ago. It's very eclectic. You never know what you will hear. American Rock, Jazz, Country, New Age Folk, Classical, who knows. All mixed in with Canadian artists and songs. Streaming via an Amazon Echo Dot II with hardwire output to a Philips shelf console. They are currently plaing Johnny Cash, "Four Strong Winds"

Enjoy the day, gents.

very very nice except the Canadian part

.
3sport, what edition are those Hornady manuals there? Those look like my older #4's.

Well spotted, 45CG. They are indeed the #4's. I did upgrade to the Lyman 50th in 2022, as well as Richard Lee's "Modern Reloading" Guide (pictured in the rack). I also upgraded to the most recent edition of "The Handloader's Digest" via Midway last fall (not pictured). I'm currently reading that in my recliner when the spirit moves me. I also got all the "Complete Reloading Manuals" for each caliber that I currently reload for. Except for 380 that I just got back into last weekend.

Ha! I have that Speer #11 also, with a host of others, as we all do. How do you like those "Complete Reloading Manuals"? Thinking of getting one for my 7x57 Mauser. Thanks.

I really do like the "Complete Reloading Manuals". Nothing against online lookups of loads, but I still prefer the old school paper load manuals on my bench. Under the manuals that you can't see in the photo, is a Chromebook for electronic lookup and posting to this forum. I just prefer the old paper print manuals. The one-caliber-one-book format of those reloading manuals is great for a quick reference per caliber. And IMO, they are quite complete in components including powders.

And I thank you for bringing this to my attention because I totally forgot to order the "Complete Reloading Manual for the 380 ACP". Thanks to you, I just ordered that via Amazon. Not much of a difference between Amazon and eBay this time around. Sometimes you get a seller on eBay that is dumping his manuals and can find a screaming deal, but not today. Well, at least not for the 380 ACP.

Just ordered that manual for the 7x57. I believe I have a couple loads already for my intended use, but, more data is always helpful.

I think you'll be satisfied with it, 45CG. As I posted, the One Caliber-One Book format is excellent for fans of a small amount of calibers for reloading. Like the half dozen I reload for. I have a manual for .38 Spl, 357 Mag, 40 S&W, 9mm, 45 LC, and now 380 ACP. I am surprised I never got one for 44 Spl or 44 Mag since I had a Marlin Lever in those calibers in the early to mid 2ks that I shot all the time and reloaded for. But I'm glad I don't because I'm not going back to that caliber. A 45 LC lever is on my shopping list now, not a 44 mag.

Enjoy the reloading with that new manual.

After cleaning the Rugers, they demanded some snacks...

...so let there be snacks (not all 270 fit in the bin ;))!

Fiddled with the new neck sizer. Only messed up one case(unfortunately one of my Lapua’). I thought I had grabbed out of the bin of range pick ups… ooooops. I think I can shoot it out. I found my notebook that had my notes regarding benchmark and 115gr varminters has been destroyed by water… soooo I’m emailing Sierra. Started setting up the LnL for another run of 9mm.

I have the same box of bullets. What powder and charge weight are you running?
Hiya,

TiteGroup 4.1gr which puts me in +P territory, though it is an accurate load out of my Rugers (3" barrels); 1.470 OAL

Latest info from my Garmin for a 20 shot string was:
Max; 892.1 FPS
Avg; 866.5 FPS
Min; 834.7 FPS
246.8 FT-LB
Spread; 57.3
Std Dev; 14.6

I don't have any titegroup so I will continue on with what I've been using. Generally Clays or Red dot.
