What have you done in the reloading room today

Working on converting the LNL to small primers... for the 9mm. Took the rough edges off the primer shuttle with some emery cloth... only then did I realize the little wheel on it (and you LNL users know what I'm talking about...) is fused in place. I'm guessing the previous owner reglued the pin... and got the wheel pivot as well. Looks like another order to Midway...

It should work well enough, assuming I get my LNL bushings sometime this century... at least enough to set my dies and get everything working.

Always keep a few extra around, enough for a new set of dies minimum.........nothing worse than needing them and everyone is out. Lock rings too.

Even with the label ... that Dillon blue box is the last place I would look for Hornady LNL bushings. You're upsetting the natural order of things.

Try taking a heat gun to the sled to make the glue release.

You could also contact Hornady and they would send you a free replacement.

Horskinator, I've been loading 357sig for quite a while, when I started Dillon was the only carbide set I could buy, and not inexpensive! When Lee came out with a crimp die, I bought one, as the seated bullet could be pushed into the case with little pressure. The Lee collet still didn't crimp tight enough, so my friend Pete machined a little more off it, and I have had no problems since! As for accuracy, I shot it for years with a USPSA club, and it is acceptable, I quit using jacketed bullets when I got a GC mold from Accurate Molds.
I was thinking of getting a .357 SIG and loading for it, but you guys have convinced me it's nothing but a hassle, especially at my stage of life. My Super 38s will have to suffice!

Call Hornady, they'll send it to you for free.

I begged, on bended knee, for my Beloved Wife who is a master of organization to please sort my powders and bullets. I hadn't realized just how much cast 9mm I had and how many pounds of powder. But it is done. 3 containers of 9 mm 115 grs are all now in one box. I have room on my shelf for all the primers now. Huzzah! I love my Wife!.

Loaded the tumbler with 38spl brass then reloaded 400 previously primed Xtreme 158gr 38spl over 4.3grains HP-38 using Servicios SPP . Emptied the brass from tumbler. After fracturing my tailbone in a fall 10 days ago I've really grown to fully appreciate the chair cushon my wife bought me last year. 20240928_141345.jpg

Actually got some Motivation and fired up the Redding master powder measure I got from AJC1! Man o man I’m in bit’ness now! What took an hour by hand is now 10 mins! Processing 100 or so ammo inc cases with the extreme 158 SWC’s. AA2 is the propellant and it meters like a dream. Every case spot on! Whooo hooo!!!

Just finished loading a box of .40 S&W. It's my favorite handgun caliber because I like "snappy"!!

I have not loaded 40 S&W in quite a while. I have a S&W Sigma in that caliber that I have stashed for home defense, but never seem to shoot it at the range. I thought it was my only gun chambered for that caliber. But then I remembered after reading your post that I have another. Last year, I got a plethora of barrels in various calibers for my Bond Arms Roughneck Derringer, including a 40 S&W barrel, I have never shot that caliber in the Derringer, so this gives me an excuse to load some 40 SW and get to the range with those two handguns. Thanks for the inspiration.

Be interesting to hear how that Bond likes those .40’s……

Will do. I got barrels for 357/38, 40SW, 45LC/410, and 9mm. I also found an extended grip for the Bond on eBay with good reviews, and I have to admit, it makes the Derringer much more comfortable to shoot in the larger calibers. It allows a full three finger and thumb grip. The stock grip is next to the extended grip in the photo for comparison. It certainly makes the gun much less conceilable, but much more comfortable to shoot at the range. I have the new Smith and Wesson BodyGuard 380 for concealed carry now, with 6 shot magazine, so the Bond is mostly for fun at the range these days. The 410/45LC barrel is certainly unique.
