What have you done in the reloading room today

started taking apart .45Auto again.

So you wouldn’t feel all alone, I “hammer-timed” 500 .45ACP of my own rounds.
250 each night…..I sincerely hope that there will only be a couple DOZEN more hammers left in that hammer in it’s lifetime…!!!!
Can’t blame anyone else for these rounds..
200gr SWC’s that won’t feed well in all the guns….
They were from my first reloading venture in 2016…..”I am gonna have sooooo much ammo made, and I read this bullet is the best”…… 🙄 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Live and learn I suppose…
Got ‘em all pulled, resized the cases with no deprimer in the die, threw ‘em in the vibrator for a bit ‘o shine and add a little “wax”, toss them in the bucket for future use…

I still LOVE this hobby tho…..

Misery loves company. 😁👍

Loaded 2 boxes of 100 357 mag rounds. Somehow a federal case slipped into the mix so in the end I did 201 because a mis matching case just won't fly... 13.7 grains #9 in Winchester lit off by a cci 550. The boolit is a cast 154 noe powdercoated and sized to .358. Shot a bunch of these on Saturday and I really like the load... 20240929_174825.jpg

Started loading 9mm for my S&W 929 revolver using Blazer brass , MBC 135 grain . 357 diameter LRN , Unis Ginex SP primer and W572 powder I am just starting to try W572 I usually use Ram Shot Silhouette.

Edited Note- the barrel and cylinder throats are .357 it is why I use .357 bullets.

I loaded 99 10mm cartridges

Mixed brass but mostly Starline
180gr ACME RNFP
8..4gr Longshot
CCI LPP
On a Dillon RL550

I loaded 99 because that's how many primers were in the sleeve when I opened it up.

This is my general shooting 10mm load. I noticed I was out when I was gathering gear for an upcoming trip to scout for elk.

Researching data for some of the new powders on the bench...

W748 in the .308, and .30-06 M1. I'm not finding just a whole lot of data on W748 with heavies (168grn and up) in the .30's, so I'm wondering if it's too fast.
AA4100 and AA#7 in the .41MAG and .45 Colt. I don't really know what I'm trying to accomplish with the AA#7, but I've always wanted to try it... and I have some... so why not?

Loaded up some 9mm test rounds with AA#2.

Question for the intelligentsia: The load data I'm using, which is specific to this bullet (Berry's 124-grain HBFP) calls for a COL of 1.060". Problem is, they won't plunk in my barrel at that length. I have to shorten them to 1.022" to get them to plunk. That reduces the available space in the case by 10%, so I'm not loading to max book value. Am I still safe at the starting charge, though? I've been told 9mm can be pretty touchy with respect to changes in seating depth.

What powder are we talking about?

I know what I forgot to mention... Midway.

I needed a few parts for the LNL press, and while I was at it, 2 500 boxes of 150grn Hornady .30 FMJ... accidentally *wink, wink, nudge, nudge...* fell into the cart as well. Midway's usual mode is to throw them into the biggest box they can find, along with my other items, put 3 cubes of styrofoam or 2 sheets of air bags in, loosely tape it up, and send it out the door. When I get it... if I get it... everything is usually smashed to smithereens, and at least one of the bullet boxes has burst. Not this time! They actually double-boxed the order! ...and the box fit the bullet boxes appropriately. Yes, they just put the rest of my parts in there, and they got smashed, but it wasn't terminal this time. So... kudos to Midway! Maybe they ARE listening to all the complaints about their horrible packaging.

Should be fine at the starting charge, load five and test them.
