What is a gun ban

    The last gun ban from Clinton they did not take your guns
    This time will they take any gun that is on a gun ban list ???

    No, they are taking the magazines.

    What value is a gun if it lacks an effective magazine?

    What value is a big SUV if it is allowed only a 3 gallon gas tank?

    NY is a fine example.

    Without engaging in the political speculation that necessarily accompanies such a ban, a gun ban will be an incremental attempt to reduce the effectiveness of civilian-held weapons in as great a degree as is possible without triggering Heller or McDonald type case law.

    That's the strategy.

    Whether a "ban" is crafted cleverly enough to accomplish that will be the question.

    Any exploration of remedies belongs in Activism.

    Specific cases, of course, would be the proper domain of Legal.
